Who Is Jaymason Willngham?

Check this kid out.  He could be / should be a 5-10 offer athlete within 6 months.  I am going to stake my 15 years in the field of football recruiting analysis on this.  Rarely have I seen a kid as big and as fast as Jaymason Willingham of Steilacoom High School.  Sure if your from that part of the great state of Washington you know who he is.  That said not too many other people seem to.

He is not a Twitter dandy – only 74 followers and the kid has only Tweeted 19 times.  His profile does not have his name on it, his HUDL link is not there, and he is almost a ghost on other platforms.  All of this adds up to a young man who is not a self-promoter which we love.  We think this guy is currently tracking on a physical and skill level to be one of the premier NW recruits in 2018-19.

Let me just lay this all out for you:

  • Jaymason Willingham- 6’3″- 210 lbs – Junior
  • Steilacoom High School – Sentinel Football
  • 2017 Rushing Yards – 740 yards- Average of 7 Yards Per Carry
  • 2017 Rushing TD’s – 10
  • 2017 Receiving Yards – 185
  • 2017 Receiving TD’s – 3
  • 2017 Defense – Total Tackles –  120
  • 2017 Solo Tackles – 60
  • 2017 Tackles for Loss-  10
  • He is FAST – appears to have extra long arms
  • He has incredible balance and hands
  • He is very powerful

He appears to have every single asset we like to see in a big-time D-1 linebacker.  Probably an outside guy.  The last guy that had long arms and a big lower body and looked like a young pup like this guy we remember is out good friend Myles Jack and we all remember how that one ended up!  So let me plant this seed-  Coaches you remember how EWU landed Cooper Kupp, Kendrick Bourne, and Samson Ebukam when no one else was looking?  All of them now start in the League out of EWU right?  Well, this kid has one offer – from #EWU who I believe has some of the very best recruiters in the land.  You might all just want to drop in for a look.  We have a call into him- but for right now all I can say is enjoy the show, everyone!
