Alabama Offers Jacob Eason – “Skinny” Gets Big Push!

The young man – only a Sophomore mind you – they call “Skinny” is anything put that.  Jacob Eason of Lake Stevens High School landed another mega-offer this morning shortly after he tore up the Elite 11 workouts with the Nike Football staff in Dallas, Texas.    Having just been offered by Florida State, Miami, and Georgia we began to wonder what more could happen for the 6’4″ fast ball pitcher from the Evergreen State.

“This morning Jacob was offered by Alabama,” said Tony Eason by text.

What more can he say or does he need too.  Jacob is that hot right now and we expect he will continue to stay that way with no end in site.   The questions now become who will not offer Jacob, where does he want to play college ball, and how the heck is a 10th grader and his family supposed to keep it all together with a recruitment like this?

Not to worry.  Jacob is a busy guy playing multiple sports and has a superb group of football minds around him from his school Coaching staff to his private mentors.  Above all is his father Tony who is a former collegian (Notre Dame) and a coach himself.  He is Jacob’s best advocate and will see to it this all ends well.  There has been no doubt in any ones mind that Jacob has the stuff needed to ride this wave all the way into the NCAA.  It is going to be a fun ride.

The Elite 11 is considered the Mecca of all football events for QB’s and this young man went to Dallas as an underclassmen this weekend and tore it up.  With the best of the best in attendance and legendary coaches like Matt James and Trent Dilfer running the show Eason did his thing according to his private QB Coach Lavelle Durant of duranttraining.com.

“Proud of this kid. Definitely showed a thing or two this morning in Dallas,” said Durant.  “They loved him down there in Dallas.”

Durant should know.  His efforts were squarely behind the success of super star QB’s Max Browne of Skyline (USC), Isaac Dotson of Newport (WSU), and Billy Green of Kings (BYU) just in the past couple of years.  He trains Eason and Bellevue fast riser Justus Rogers right now as well as many others and his demeanor and ability to teach have separated him from most other QB coaches operating in the private sector.

Jacob Eason himself weighed in on the Dallas showing.

“The Elite 11 was a great experience. It was great to get out and check out my national competition, and also learn a lot.”
