We do not hear about top centers too much but Alex Neale is one of them. The 6’3″ – 290 pound bruiser from Eastside Catholic is a superb 2015 linemen with all of the skills you could ask for in a top high school football prospect. He and the Crusaders made it to the 3 A Title Game 2 years in a row and boy were they a force to deal with. Only loosing to Bellevue would be their undoing. But when it comes to Bellevue they pretty much undo everyone on a National Level.
Alex showcased his skills at Stan Brock’s TrenchCamp the past two seasons and in that format for three days we saw him go through his paces. Breaking him down is easy. His stance, footwork, hips, hands, and skill to finish make him special. He listens and learns and applies the techniques on the field. A 3.65 GPA at a tough place like Eastside Catholic only further raise his stock in a current NCAA environment that is becoming more and more for the academically solid kids. Alex will move on to college and has a host of suitors.
While he is not 6’5″, which seems to be a standard height anymore for big-time centers, he is 6’3″ and is way ahead of the curve when it comes to his readiness and ability to move on and be an impact player. His Junior film which we have inserted below is full of pancakes and finishes and he is so smart. The key to any teams offensive success is the line play and it starts with the Center. When looking for a Center we have Alex at the Top of our list for 2015. You coaches and schools looking will be wise to look in on Alex Neale early on this year!
