As the Oregon State Beavers rebuild the program under new Head Coach (and former record-breaking Beaver QB) Jonathan Smith and the “Dream Team” staff he is putting together he is going to need Talent. With only a few weeks to recruit, the new staff is scrambling and leaving no stone unturned as they scour the Earth looking for recruits who are the kind of guys who can create a team. Smith was brought in to win but even more so he has to turn the Beaver’s ship head-on into the waves and crash over the reef and make #BeaverNation a contender.

To do this he will bring in some new talent for sure. He will match that with the guys in the program right now. He will also inherit a few recruits who were already committed to play for the Beavs prior to his arrival. Everyone will have to buy in and be a part of the Dam they need to build. One of those guys we feel will be a leader on and off the field is Southridge High School star DE/QB/ATH Bradley Bickler.
This kid is 6’7″ tall, he is 250 lbs, and he can play all over the field. With his skill and size it will not really matter where he ends up. This is a young man who could end up being an all Pac 12 Tight End or a future NFL Offensive Linemen. He could be the next Derrick Anderson- the Beavers great QB who went on to play in the NFL for years. The staff will find a spot for him.
What is needed right now at Oregon State is #TeamFirst guys. Not #NextManUp or #MeFirst athletes but athletes who are going to Corvallis to make a new era and to contribute. Bickler’s film shows that he can and will play and should start. But if he doesn’t he will be working on the sidelines and in the locker room to help his team Win and to compete. Those are some of his best attributes.

Bradley has been passionate and on point- he is signing and he is going to bring energy and a positive influence with him. I already know he is working on landing the recruits that Coach Smith has been offering. He is a Team guy, a smart guy, and he is passionate.
This OSU 2018 recruiting Class can be truly special.
