Brandon Stott Of Lakewood Helps Lakewood Power Ahead Into Playoffs

Lakewood High School Senior wideout/cornerback Brandon Stott has been terrorizing the Cascade Conference for 4 years.  The cheetah quick Stott has started at receiver since his very first
game as a freshman.

He has also started at corner since his sophomore campaign.  The 5'10" 180 pound blazer already held the school record for receptions before his senior season even started.  He had 102 catches through 3 seasons.   Stott was a 2nd team all-conference wideout as a super sophomore and a 1st team all-league pick at receiver as a junior.

So how is he doing this year?

Though he missed a game and half with an ankle injury, he is up to his old tricks again.   He has hauled in 21 passes for 502 yards and 5 touchdowns. He has also carried the ball 12 times for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He has proven to be a flat out missile packing the rock on the fly sweep, gaining over 800 yards and scoring 8 touchdowns on the ground in his storied career.   Plus he has a Pic-6 from his cornerback spot this season as well.

When we talked to Brandon this week he said their first goal on the season was "To win the league title outright."

He stated that they had never beaten Kings High School in the 3 years he has played them.

Well it just so happens both those things could happen this week.   Stott's Cougars are sitting at 8-0 and ranked #3 in the state 2A AP poll  while Kings is also 8-0 and ranked #1 in the
1A ranks.

Sets up for quite a backyard brawl this friday night at Woolsey stadium in Shoreline.

Brandon told us that they have been practicing things for Kings for a few weeks now and that they "will be ready to go".   Stott's ultimate goal is to play college ball and has received some interest so far.

But this rocket can no doubt play at the next level he just needs the chance.  His coaches rave about his work ethic and positive attitude on and off the gridiron.

An all around this is a greaqt student athlete who carries a tidy 3.56 grade point average.

Best wishes to he and his squad going ahead as they face off against Kings.
