Bet on it.  They are few in number but big on talent.  These boys of the NW that we love so much are mixing it up with the best of them.  And they all 3 look the part of the big time.

Max Browne of Skyline High School in Sammamish, Washington looked amazing today.  He is the consensus #1 QB in the Nation but there were a few East Coast doubters after he returned from the Rivals Top 100 showcase Camp.

Today at the opening is early drills Max looked amazing.  Who cares about #1.  The kid is a winner and is headed for USC and by all odds a shot at the NFL.  He has all of the components of a great QB.  Being as objective as I could be today at Nike's grand event I would say he looked to be the most talented guy there at the QB spot.  And that is out of the best of the best who made the trip to the Football mecca for the dream event.

Browne was swarmed by Media so we took some pic of him, shook hands, and said our hello and let him work.  Something he is really good at.

While Browne is the lone athlete from the Evergreen State this year at the gig Oregon has two in.

Wilsonville High School's Johnny Ragin was there and Churchill High School was represented by fast rising Skyler Phillips.

We caught up to both of them.  At the SPARQ Challenge Ragin improved his overall scores hitting a 113 but missed the Top 10 by a way.  Those freak athletes will be at the finals tonight.   Phillips looked good again and was one of the Top 5 O linemen there at the end of the SPARQ Event.  But the SPARQ stuff is not really something the big boys tear it up at.

Ragin looked smooth, collected, and fit in with the linebackers just fine.  Most of the guys in his positional group have 30 plus offers.  Johnny is now a solid 6'3" and over 210.  His lean muscular frame is angular and it is easy to see him at 225 pounds as an OLB in College.  His BYU offer sits there nicely but it sure looks like OSU, WSU, Boise State, and a host of others may be close to moving on this cruiser.

Johnny Ragin is now 6'3" and 210 pounds and will only get bigger. By the end of The Opening pundits will be able to judge his ability against the best in the Nation but so far he has looked superb!

Phillips is one of the shorter athletes in the O'Line group but at 338 pounds he is one of the thicker guys.  He looked the part too.  Again he is surrounded by the Nation's best blockers many of whom are 50 offers plus.  Who cares.  This hard charging Eugene native has a "Punch" that could break a Rhino's skin and when the 1-1 battles drop we expect to hear the "Phillips Pop".

Skyler shared the news with us first that he has in fact received his First offer from the OSU Beaver's.  Something he was waiting to tell us since we had helped him get to the NIKE NFTC Camp and helped to tell his story.  This is big for him and the Beavers.  In Phillips the Beavs may have found a kid who will not only produce but pay major dividends for years to come.  And for Phillips the chance to learn the O-Line from a guy like OSU Coach Cavanaugh it is the perfect opportunity.

6'3"-338 pound Skyler Phillips is on his way! At The Opening he has looked good. But his OSU Offer just dropped and man this young man is HOT!Now there is a lot going on at The Opening!  The press is crazy.  You can watch it on ESPN.  And while every other Network is watching what the big timers are doing we care about one thing.  The local talent.  Watch for more write ups on Max, Johnny, and Skyler as the next couple Days unravel.

Below are almost 1000 pics for your review, interviews with Ragin and Phillips, and some great photos of all 3 guys!  And with that we are out for the night!
