Cedric Dozier Last Major Recruit to Decide: Live Feed

It has been a relatively wild finish to the football recruiting process in 2012.  With Zach Banner and Joshua Garnett off the board this past week there is really only one major recruit left to decide.

That would be All American Cedric Dozier.  The Lakes High School star athlete had been previously 100% committed to Cal.  But with the departure of Cal Coaches Eric Kiesau and Tosh Lupoi to the U of W Cedric has opened things up just a bit.

For a few days he thought about following those coaches over to the U of W and giving the Huskies another look.  That partly happened as the Dawgs decided to recruit him as a Wide Receiver rather then as a Defensive Back.  Dozier seems focused on having his hands on the ball.  And why not.  He is a special talent anytime he is around the football.

Enter Mike Leach and WSU.  The Cougars had Cedric out for a visit.  And that led to a couple of new developments.  He decided that the U of W was “not for him” and that WSU was a place he might consider.

Cedric is now down to WSU and Cal and seems to still love Cal for all the reasons he did before; a great program and degree as well.

What will he do today at 2:30 at Lakes High School?  Well the All American kid who many feel is the epitome of a perfect High School recruit will let us all know.  You will never find a young man with more talent on and off the field and who is of the highest character.  Without rehashing his amazing back story this self made kid is a Star.  Period.
