Update #2 Chasing The Dream – 005/27/2013

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: WHAT IS CHARACTER? What Does It Mean To You?

Connor Humphreys – Central Catholic HS- OR- 6’4- 270 lbs – DE/OL – 2014

4 Stars- Rivals US Army All American – Selected to Play in the Game

Film Link

Offers-  WSU, OSU, Cal, ASU, BSU, PSU, Wyoming, USC, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Arizona, Arizona State, Tennessee, UCLA, Wyoming

Our Take-  This kid we have seen up close and personal.  His speed and size are unmatched.  Period.  He MVP’s the Rivals Under Armour Camp in LA at Defensive Line and was unstoppable.  His demeanor, ability to hand fight, and beat O linemen, as well as some nifty moves make him special.  He has been officially invited to PLAY as a US Army All American thus completing his major Goal. Over 12 top schools have offered- WOW!

Update-

"New schools that have contacted me are…
-Mississippi State – Army
-Indiana University – Nevada
-Florida
-Alabama
-Arizona
-Colorado

The most recent offer I have received was Wisconsin on 4/23. Both Colorado and Arizona said something about an offer and but going to call me next week, so they may be close. The most recent accolade was being named an Army All American which was a huge accomplishment for me. I am very excited to have the chance to play in such a prestigious game.

In the next 30 days I will be attending the Nike NFTC in Eugene. I will also be going to Florida for vacation and possibly may visit Florida or Florida State. I will be throwing discus in the State Championship track meet next week, 5/24.

Question of the Week-

Character to me shows an athletes mental qualities that they have. When I hear the word "Character" I think of a leader, on and off the field. There are many cases where people talk about character but do not show the character they talk about. Character is tested everyday. The decisions people make everyday proves their character. Whether to wake up early and work out or sleep in is all based on character.

Christan Olson- Ferris HS , WA- Quarterback 6’2” 190 lbs – 2014

Film Link

Offers- None Yet

Our Take-  Christian is playing his 3rd season for Ferris HS in Spokane, Wash.  This guy is a student and friend of legendary QB Coach Tom Martinez ( RIP).  He had a good 2012 closing on on 2,000 yards.  A gunslinger in every sense of the word.  Will he rise up to grab his Golden Ticket to the College scene?  We would not bet against this kid who is driven! Worked with him in May at the Chris Miller QB Camp- He spins as good a ball as anyone!

Update- In the last few weeks I have continued to be in heavy contact with Harvard and Colorado State along with beginning to talk to Montana, Montana State, and Yale. The next month for me is going to be really busy. On June 7th I will be at the Northwest Elite Camp and I have a 7 on 7 passing tournament at Skyline that same weekend.  My team will be in camp from June 17th to the 21st.  Starting the 22nd of June i will start to go to college camps including Harvard, Yale, Montana, Montana State and a personal workout with Colorado State on the 25th of June.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK

"Character to me is being an honest individual who doesn't let others influence their choices. It is something that is built through hard work and trials which helps you gain wisdom and experience. Your character is something that will always have an effect on everything you do in life. As a football player, I have learned that hard work and effort to improve my skills benefits me on the field and in the classroom. I feel like these lessons that I have learned have added to my character."

——————————————————————————————————

Gunnar Amos-  QB at Cour D’Alene High School- ID- 6’1’- 195 lbs – 2014

Film Link

Offers-  Idaho State, Army, Weber State

Our Take- Gunnar had 3,700 yards last season and landed an offer from Idaho State University when he was a Sophomore.  He is a dual-threat QB and has a terrific arm and skill set.   He is very fast as well and should be looked at by anyone at any level!  4.56 40 time and a true leader! Superb Student Athlete!

Update-

“Since the last update I was offered by ARMY and Weber State! I have the same schools getting ahold of me otherwise. Dartmouth actually came out yesterday and watched me throw.

Question Of The Week-

"Character to me is what you do when there is no one there to hold you accountable but yourself. That's where it really shows if you are a grinder and push through or if you give up and leave early. Your character isn't just shown in the weight room and the football field but also in the classroom and how you interact with adults. As a quarterback and the son of a head coach in a small town I have a lot of people who know who I am so I can never slip up so that is my character test"

——————————————————————————————————–

Jake LaCoste- West Albany HS RB – OR- 5’10”- 200 lbs – 2014

Film Link

jake lacoste11

Offers– Air Force, West Point (Army), PSU

Our Take-  A 2nd team All American last year Jake is an amazing playmaker.  Speed, Power, and Stamina are the name of this guys game.  You're not going to stop him.  Proof of that was his 3,077 yards and 38 TD's in 2012 averaging 11.1 yards per carry.  Think about that one while you watch his film.

Update-

I’m competing in the state track meet this weekend in the 100m, 4*100m relay, and high jump. I’m very excited about the high jump because I’ve cleared 6’8” a couples times this year and feel like 6’9” is right there. I’m looking forward to the end of track just so I can really focus on football. I attended a junior day at PSU last weekend. The next football event I will attend this year is the NW Elite Football Camp on June 7 and later, I will be going to the Nike Football Training Camp at the U of O. A week later I will head to Boise and Utah for camps. I also plan on visiting Air Force later in June. I have been talking with Air Force, West Point, Utah, UNLV, Montana, and PSU. So far I have received offers from Air Force, West Point, and PSU.

Question Of The Week-

Character is someone’s personality, based on their integrity or lack of integrity. It is how you treat others and go about with your day to day activities. “It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come.” (Dali lama). Character is your morals, attitude, and values that you live by every day and displayed for all to see.   Character is shaped through experiences, friends, and family. Character for me has prevented many possible conflicts; such as rivalries between schools can usually be nasty things with fights, name calling etc. but I have never really had that problem because of my charismatic personality no matter what happens after the game or during everyone goes home happy.

————————————————————————————————————

Jarius McDade- O’Dea HS Linemen- WA- 6’3”- 295 lbs – 2014

Film Link

Offers- Idaho

Our Take –   Jarius is a low leverage super star.  Quick Feet, Powerful frame, and a young man who knows how to finish.  The Irish have had some good D-linemen and this guy is another one.  Love his personality too. He and Griffin are 1-2 in the D Tackle Group!  He has landed a D1 Offer and more are coming in!

Update- I've been in recent contact with Stanford, Michigan, Oregon, OSU, USC, Cal, Indiana, Boise St. Nevada and Wyoming. I will be at the Northwest Elite Camp and the Nike NFTC June 7th and 9th.

Question of the Week –

As far as character goes I feel Like its the way you handle situations I feel like my character is great because I'm an honest person.  Most of my role models have great character and show it in everyday life which I admire.

————————————————————————————————————

Austin Holmes-  Eagle Point – OR- TE/DE- 6’5” 240 lbs- 2014

Film Link

Offers– None Yet

Our Take-  Joining Us from Down I-5 just a little North of Medford is Austin Holmes.  This big rangy kid will be a hot commodity-  Believe me.  When the scouts and coaches see this kid moving around the way he does anything can happen.  He is big and agile.  His brother Tyrone is at Montana and the Grizzlies, Vikings, and ASU Sun Devils are moving on this guys film!  We welcome Austin into the CTD Family!

Update- "The University of Montana recruiter came to the school last Monday. I will be going to the Mercer Island camp on the 7th, the University of Montana camp on the 20th and 21st, maybe the Oregon State camp, then the Portland State camp the 24th, the Eastern Washington on the 26th and 27th, and finally the Montana State camp on the 28th."

Question of The Week:  I think character is the decisions we make in response to our circumstances. I think character plays a huge role in life.    It tells people whether we'll follow through with what we say or just flake out.  Our character is being judged each and every day and it helps influence the decisions other make about us. I can not think of any situations of where my character has been put to the test, but it has made a difference in my life.

————————————————————————————————————

Isaiah Brandt-Sims-  Wenatchee HS – 5’11”- 185 lbs- RB/DB/Safety 2014

Film Link-

Offers – UW, SMU, Wyoming, CSU, Harvard, Idaho, ASU, UTAH, Harvard, BYU, Yale

Our Take- Major offers keep rolling in for the speedy kid from East of the Cascades.  This season he should finally be the guy with the ball in his hands.  He could easily go 2,500 yards.  And 2nd astest kid in the US with a 6.64 indoor 60 M time.  An amazing talent!  He has already run a 10.62 100 M and it is not even warm yet.  Big enough to play big time football and fast enough to win Pac 12 Track Meets!  WOW!

Update-

He did it! He won the 100 and 200 for the 3rd year in a row. No One has ever done that. And he has one year left. WOW!

"BYU, UW, Arizona State, Harvard, Cal, Utah, Idaho have all been in contact with me in the last month. Oregon State and WSU are coming to visit tomorrow. Football offers include UW, Idaho, BYU, Arizona State, Colorado State, Wyoming, SMU, Harvard, Yale, Utah. In other news, state was last weekend and I competed in four events. I played first in the 100m and 200m. I was in a 4 by 400m relay that placed third and a 4 by 100m relay that placed fourth. "

Question of the Week –  To follow -Monday

Character. I believe it is what people and other players see in me when I compete in life. It is shown on and off the field. Your character is tested everyday in almost everything you do; how you act in practice, how you play in a game, in the classroom, at home with your family, out with your friends on the weekend. Character is a big thing in life. It is a difference maker between a kid with a lot of talent, and a kid just as good who stays out of trouble.

————————————————————————————————————

Mack Hopkins – Connell High School – 6’5”- 300 lbs Linemen- 2014

Film Link

Offers- None Yet

Our Take- Mack is a standout linemen we saw win a state title as a 10th grader.  The kid can really finish blocks.  He is from the small wheat farming town of Connell where football means everything most of the year.  Can he make it?  We believe he will.

Update-

Schools I have been in touch with: I just talked to Wyoming today and also talket to University of Montana today. I have also been in touch with WSU, USC, Arizona State, Idaho, Penn University, Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, Mizzou, Stanford, Boise State, UNLV, Puget Sound University, Lewis Clark University from Portland, Colorado.  My next 30 Days are packed with camp.  I am headed to the Northwest Elite Camp at Mercer Island, the next day I will be at the camp (SPARQ) at Tigard High Schooll and then the Nike Camp in Eugene.  Then it is our school camp and TrenchCamp in Spokane!

Question of the Week-

Character to me is based on honesty integrity and the ability to follow through.

———————————————————————————————————–

Marcus Griffin – Bellevue High School- Linemen – 6’3”- 285 lbs. 2014

3 Star Rivals Recruit- Semper Fidelis All American -Selected to Play

Film Link

Offers-  Wyoming, Idaho, WSU, Colorado State

Our Take-   Marcus was first seen at the 2012 NW Elite Sports Camp (Gesser Camp) where he was a standout among the older class.  At 6'3"- 285 lbs this monstrous athlete can swallow up RB's and QB's with a single move.  He is a hot recruit with Pac 12 offers in hand.  One of the most commanding linemen on the West Coast this season bar none.

Update-

"I was offered by Arizona and Nevada last night. So right now that puts me at 6 offers. About a month ago i committed to Washington State. I will be at Mercer Island camp, but will not be competing.  After that i head down to Oregon for Sparq and the NFTC. After that i will be at the NEI SHOWCASE on June 30th."

Question of the Week-

Character is the mental and moral qualities and individual has. I think character is not giving in to peer pressure and being yourself and not following the crowd. I have not faced a challenge where character has been put to the test, but i will be ready for that day when it comes.

————————————————————————————————————

E’Lon Mack – Heritage High School- Wide Receiver – Athlete – 6’1”- 185 lbs 2014

Film Link

OffersIdaho

Our Take-  Mack had almost 800 yards and averaged 25 yards plus per catch.  He is Electric, Dynamic, and physical.  There is a toughness about Mack that you want in a top WR.  Should be a top 2-3 WR in the NW this season.  Star power kid right here. Just landed offer #1.

Update-

These next few weeks ahead are going to be busy for me. Next Thirsday Friday and Saturday I will be at State for Track. Along with that the schools I've been in touch with recently are, Boise State University, Eastern Washington University, University of Idaho, Portland State University, West Point, Montana State, Washington State University, BYU, and Navy. On Saturday June 15th I'm going up to Boise States football camp and our team camp at EWU is from 19-22 in June and I'm going to PSU camps one of the days after that.

IDAHO OFFERED ME THIS WEEK!

Question Of The Week-

"I feel if I had one word to describe my character it would be capable because when I'm given a task I try to find a way to accomplish it no matter what.  Character is what describes someone as a person.  Because when I hear that word it makes me think how you act with people and how you treat others. Character isn't something people talk about.  It's just how a person is.  It makes a difference in life because they way they react to adversity can define character as well.  My character has been put to test when I sprained my ankle during football and my character had me tape my ankle, spat and have ankle brace on it.  My response is keep going if I'm capable. Do whatever can help my team if that means I'm slowing them down then I would have had to just step down."

————————————————————————————————————

Dylan Donohue- Lakewood High School – 6’1”- 275 lbs-  Linemen – 2014

Film Link

Offers-  None Yet

Our Take-  MVP of Stan Brock's Trench Camp against a loaded bunch of guys.  This power house kid is technically sound and explosive to boot.  Projects well as a guard or NT/DT.  Anything is possible when Dylan enters the field and we can not wait to see him play again.

Updates-

As of today I have yet to receive any offers, but I have been talking with some coaches from Wyoming, Portland State, and Eastern Washington. Just last weekend I was down at Portland State for their Junior Day and spring game.

Over the next 30 days i'm going to be very busy. Next week spring ball starts up, then I will be attending Northwest Elite, Boise state, my team camp at Central Washington, Eastern Washington, Montana and Portland State. I just finished coaching a local arena youth football team, and am continuing to work hard in the weight room.

Question of the Week –

"Character is the direct reflection of your soul and shows what kind of person you are. When I hear people talk about character I instantly think about what kind of person they are. Character is a huge difference maker in peoples lives. No one is going to trust a liar or someone who is in something for their own personal benefit. I feel as becoming a team leader you are faced with showing character everyday. I try to be a role model and example to all of my teammates and friends."

————————————————————————————————————

Kaleb McGary – Fife High School – 6’8”- 270 lbs- TE / Linemen 2014

Rivals 4 Star

Film Link

Offers-  ASU, CAL, Nebraska, Oregon, OSU, WSU, UW, UTAH, Wisconsin, Boise State, Colorado, Washington

Our Take- Kaleb McGary is a 4 Star major D-1 recruit who began his ride with us a year ago as we covered his very first camp.  WIth 9 Majors in hand he is among the leaders in  the region for offers next to Bellevue's Budda Baker and Devante Downs.  So big and so agile.  He would love to be a Tight End but knows too that O-Tackle is where most people see him playing both Saturday and Sunday.  The kid is a hard working young man who simply gets it done.  Wow!

Updates-

Kaleb is sort of off the Radar now as he is travelling on the AAU Hoops Circuit for Coahc Gary Ward's NW Panthers. Many of the schools after him are trying to confirm his appearance at Summer camps. He is looking to attend the OSU Camp for one day. Others are still in the scheduling phase.

Question Of The Week-

We spoke to Kaleb about this while he was out on the road. Basically his take is that Character is one of the most important things in a persons life. Having good character is crucial to success and that saying it means nothing. You have to live it in every aspect of your life.

——————————————————————————

Jordan Morgan – Southridge High School- 6’2”- 200 lbs-  WR – Athlete – 2014

Film Link-

Offers- San Jose State, PSU, Arizona

Our Take–  What you may not know is the quality if person this kid is.  He is amazing.  On the football field this kid has quick twitch reaction time mixed with real speed and size.  San Jose State may be a perfect fit and they offered but it is of so early.  He has Pac 12 ability.  We see him being a leader on both sides and special teams this year.

Updates-  So my current offers are Arizona, PSU, UNLV, Wyoming, air force, Montana, SJSU.   I've been talking to ASU and Oregon a lot more now I had a pretty good track season finished with an 11.29 in the 100m dash.

Question of the Week:   Character to me is how you act to people that can not have any impact on your life and if you treat them still with respect. I know a lot of us are doing big things but if we all keep level heads this is only the beginning.

————————————————————————————————————

Devante Downs- Mountlake Terrace High School -WA- 6’3”- 235 lbs 2014

4 Star Rivals Prospect- US Army All American- Selected to Play 2014 Game

FIlm Link

Offers-  ASU, BSU, CAL, CSU, Oregon State, UTAH, Vanderbilt, UW, WSU, Stanford, Cal, Arizona

Our Take-  Now with 13 Offers this young man has shown that he has the unique combination of size and speed that few others have.  He has a very bright future and as we move ahead in the series he has the confidence to know he can reach all his Dreams!  He is on the All American Watch list and should be a  US Army All American.  Best Big Back in the West!

Updates-

Devante was named to the US Army All American Game and will play for the West Squad! HUGE Honor There!

I went to the NFTC in Oakland and did well.  While there I also took unofficial visits to Stanford and Cal.  I also was just offered by Utah State as a RB and am continuing to work hard on all of my talents by going to my personal trainer and developing my skills.  I am still very open in the recruiting process and still hearing from many schools

Question Of The Week –

"Simply put, to me character has a lot to do with morals and value. A persons character can be defined by what they do when no one is watching- do they take the easy way out or not, and strive to be better. While taking the easy way out may be acceptable to others, those with good character always strive for better."

————————————————————————————————————

Nick Mitchell – Mt Si HS- WA – Quarterback – 6’2”- 185 lbs 2014

Film Link-

Offers-  Oregon State- Committed

Our Take- Widely regarded as a top QB in the Region Nick is coming off a really big 2012 campaign that saw his team come close to going all the way.  He had 2,350 yards, 37 TD's.  He was First Team All King Co.  A great arm, accurate, and he is smart.   OSU has landed him and they are getting a great one!

Updates-  Over the past several months I committed to play college football at Oregon State University. I've been training with my teammates 6-7 days a week in order to prepare for the upcoming season. I went to Elite 11 camps in Chicago and San Francisco and performed well against the nations best QB's. It was a very humbling experience and I gained valuable skills to improve on throughout the rest of the spring and summer. All this extra training I've been putting in is starting to pay off and I'm seeing results in the weight room as well as on the field. Only 5 more days until my senior season begins, and I've never been more excited or prepared for anything else in my life!

Question of the Week:

Character is who you you are when no ones looking. All my hard work I've put in this off-season has revealed my character greatly. I not only workout when my teammates are around but I also put in the work while I'm by myself and when no ones watching. I believe this represents my work ethic and how I'm always trying to improve and get better. I always hold myself accountable to do the extra workouts and drills even when no one else is there watching.

———————————————————————————————————–

Liam Talty – Sheldon High School- OR- 6’4”- 225 lbs Line backer – Athlete 2014

Film Link

Offers- Northern Colorado

Our Take- A rising star and State Champion.  An Instinctual athlete in a big lean frame who explodes off the ball and closes on opponents.  WIll be an OLB or walk up Defensive End and is just getting his recruitment going! Terrific Prospect!

Updates-

Recently I have talked with Northern Colorado Air Force, Portland St, Harvard, and Columbia. Montana is also scheduled to visit my school this week. Northern Colorado offered me since the last update and that was my very first offer. Over the next thirty days or so I'm going to a lot of different camps. June 7th-9th I'm going to the Mercer Island camp in Washington, Nike Sparq, and the Nike NFTC camp. After that I am going to go to the Boise St. camp, along with the Harvard and Columbia Camp. On June 29th I should be at the big regional camp/combine that NEI helps promote.

Question of the Week

Character to me is what defines a person. When I think of character I think of how people respond in times of adversity, that determines the type of character they have. Character definitely is a difference maker in life. Character doesn't have to have a positive connotation, depending on the person it could be good or bad. I think regardless if a person talks about character, they're own character is always made visible to the ones around them because of the decisions they choose to make throughout their life. A person may appear to have good character, but over time, who they truly are will come out and their character will be on display. My character was put to the test last basketball season when I didn't agree with my coaches coaching style or my amount of playing time. After half of the season I really wasn't enjoying it anymore and I wanted to quit; however, I chose not too because I had already started my season and wanted to finish it. Part of what defines my character is that I always finish what I start, no matter how hard it may get along the way.

————————————————————————————————————

Cole McGinnis- Gooding High School- Idaho –  6’5”- 270 lbs – 2014

Film Link –

Offers- Idaho State and Weber State

Our Take-  The Boys in Oregon and Washington that play the line positions better keep an eye on this guy because he could steal the Thunder.  Or at least take his share.  An absolute Beast of a kid with no Facebook and nothing but power and character to bring to a team!  BSU, UW, WSU, and other are moving in.

Updates-

"I recieved an offer this week from Idaho State University and Weber State. Very excited to get the first offers! Still in contact with Stanford, BSU, BYU, CAl, WASU, UOW.  As far as new schools the University of Montana came to visit last week. As far as camps go I will be attending the Northwest Elite, Nike SPARQ, BSU,  BYU and then the Trench Camp in Portland."

————————————————————————————————————

Asa Neil-Evergin  Timberline HS-WA-  5’8”- 170 lbs  RB / Athlete  2014

Film Link

Offers– None Yet

Our Take Nike Camp MVP from 2012 at RB and a young man who will get a load of carries this season at Timberline. Great speed, vision, and determination.  Can he move on to the next level?  All signs say yes.  A hard working student athlete looking to land his first offer; like most kids.

Updates-

As of right now, there has been 6 college coaches to the school (BYU, West Point Army, UCLA, EWU, Montana State U, Portland State U) and possibly 7 with (UW). All of the coaches were great to speak to and had great things to say about me as well. The main thing coming from a lot of these coaches are that the only thing holding back on an offer from them are my grades. That makes me feel good because I know all of them are very interested and they all see the major progress I've had from freshman to now in my junior year. I am not mad at all about this either, I know my grades will continue to get better and so will the relationships w/ these coaches, so I am very excited to see what they say after I finish out the semester and they take a look at my SAT score. For these next 30 days I will continue to keep in touch with these coaches and continue with my tutoring for my SAT. As far as football, I am working out almost every day and getting in tune w/ the team on new offensive/defensive schemes, also talking about playing both sides of the ball again this year but having most reps in on offense. We will start Spring Ball on the 28th and get to put on the pads and se where every is at. For camps, I will be attending the NFL HSPD camp,7 vs 7 competition, NEI combine in Bellevue, NFTC in Eugene, Boise State & ASU camp, and the big Mercer Island camp. My schedule is pretty stacked, but I'm hoping to catch the eyes of these coaches live in action so they can see more of what they caught a good look of on film. For the big time event on my schedule is the Track & Field even I was selected to compete in at Australia. I'm really anxious to visit out there and compete against all of the other comp. around the world. My palms start to sweat every day as we get closer to the season lol. I've been receiving the same letters, but now have a few new ones from schools such as USC, Cal, and Stanford which tells me I have been noticed somewhat on their radar, but I'm really just focused on my schoolwork and SAT the most.

-Question of The Week-

What is character? Character is the mental and ethical traits of a person. To me, character is who you are and what you are doing when nobody is watching. Plain and simple. A lot of people say it, but don't mean it. My character is put to the test everyday in class, at weights, in the community. A lot of people think your the cool kid who is a football player (jock) or the teenager roaming around doing whatever. I do my best to not give anyone a reason to even have a thought like that cross their mind.

Kimane Domena-  Roosevelt HS Oregon- 6’2”- 195lbs – QB – 2015

Film Link-

Offers-  BYU, CSU, PSU,

Our Take- A Roosevelt Rough Rider on the rise!  Kimane Domena may be the Top QB in the West for 2015.  He went for 2500 yards and 38 TD's as a 10th grader.  That is only scratching the surface of what is possible with this top guy who has offers from BYU and Colorado State, and PSU already.

Updates- No Update

—————————————————————————–

AJ Hotchkins – Tigard High School – Oregon – RB /ATH 2014 6’0” 225 lbs

Film Link

Offers-  Idaho

Our Take-   A physical beast AJ has a very unique skill set.  He is muscular beyond compare, has a lower center of gravity, great top end speed, and long arms.  He generates a lot of power and is the #1 lead blocker in the Region.  AJ Can catch passes, finish runs, and is crazy weapon as a Linebacker.  Some lucky school recruiting wisely  is going to land a blue chip kid here.

Updates-

AJ is just an amazing athlete.  Some say there are fewer and fewer opportunities for a massive power back like AJ.   But he has landed one great offer and more are coming in. His film is explanation enough.  All you have to do is watch this kid block, catch, run, and score and you will get it too.  He has other schools hovering in and is going to be on the camp circuits soon enough!  Way to go AJ.

I have had Arizona St, WSU, EWU, Wyoming, and Portland St visit me, with Wyoming showing the most interest. Most of my time has been with my studies and track, I participated in track for the 1st time ever and found myself in Mt Tahoma for state. I am Wesco Champ in the high jump and my personal record is 6'3. (I'm 5'8" ) I feel I'm the best kept secret here in Washington, nobody really zoomed in on me.

Question of The Week-  “ I believe character is something I display in life, respect, manners and reliably of doing what you say. I'm practicing that everyday and it gets you the opportunities you want. Thou I'm shy, my character is always being able to show respect, I even take my shoes off when I enter someone's home.

Our Take–  If anyone can send me information on a tougher more hard working kid then this I want to see him.  The sledge-hammer of a hitter is one of the most physical kids in the Region and his strength numbers are just insane.  One of the stars of the Chiawana Riverhawks these past two seasons Alex is on his way to great things.  All of the Ivy League and a handful of D-1 schools out West are on him.  His film is very good and this guy is Blue Chip on and off the field!

Question Of The Week-

The dictionary defines character as an evaluation of a particular persons moral qualities, but I think of character as being related to ones courage, honesty and drive. When ones speak of people in history who possessed strong character, there seems to be a relation to that persons leadership position in a large company or in society. There is a lot written about the character of Martin Luther King Jr, Steve Jobs, and others who society now recognizes as revolutionary and innovative, yet at the beginning of their careers were perceived by society as out of control, reckless and by some, even crazy. These leaders had a vision and the courage to stay true to what they believed regardless of the difficult obstacles they encountered. Many don't understand me and I don't say many words, but I am determined to finish the goal I challenged myself with. Whether my drive is defined as strong character or not, I'm not sure, but times when I find myself getting discouraged or distracted I try to remind myself of one of my favorite quotes my dad has a poster of by Henry Ford saying — "whether you think you can, or you think you can't… you're right"

You need to add that Marcus Griffin is a Rivals 3 star (#37 DT in the nation) and \”Semper Fi\” All-American selection.
