Connor Humphreys Gains First Pac 12 Offer

OregonPreps.com, our Rivals.com affiliate, has Connor Humphreys listed as the top recruit for 2014.  And it is only 2012.  But the 6'4"-245 pound 4 Star stud has been so convincing as a Junior that we noticed and others did too.  The high-motor hard charging Defensive End has been unstoppable this his Junior Year.

As the Rams head into the next round of the OSAA 6 A State Championships against Tigard Connor made time to attend the Oregon State Game.  He took in the Beavers sound drubbing of Cal.  But good feelings about the win are not all he left with.  No sir.

He also left with a nice offer and we caught up to him late last night and he shared a few brief thoughts via messaging,

"After the game and in the player lounger (at OSU).  The D-line Coach came up to me (Joe Seumalo) and started talking to me and just said I have an offer to OSU," said Connor.

With offers in hand already from some Big Sky caliber schools we wondered how he was feeling now that a Pac 12 School had made a move on him.

"I'm pretty excited being my first Pac 12 offer. Oregon State is a good program that is just going to get better. They are definitely going to be one of the favorites when making a decision," said Humphreys.

What comes next?  Tigard.  Next Friday at Hillsboro Stadium the Rams take on the mighty Tigard Tigers.  And it should be a truly amazing game.

"Yeah Sunset was a really good team (last weeks game).  So need to start preparing for Tigard because they are really tough," he concluded.

Thanks to Connor Humphreys for taking the time to chat with us.  Having seen him in 5 or  games now and watched him in showcases and skill camps we already know how this story can end.  He is already a Rivals.com 4 Star recruit and the OSU offer is going to drive others on.  No more fence sitters.  So watch for UW, Oregon, UCLA, and a host of other schools to pick up their interest very soon.

Congrats as well to the OSU Beavers for coming agressively after Connor.  That stategy of being first instead of last is a really good one in our view!

Great News for OSU and for Connor!
