When the RDAF Camp went off last month one of the best standouts reminded us why he is a hot prospect. James Dodd from Sultan High in the Sky Valley 40 miles from Seattle is well known in his town and his league. He is well known in the inner circles of NW recruiting and many of us have been cheering for him and pulling for him. The natural talent is one of the very best defensive ends we have seen this year. He would be a threat as an outside linebacker or TE as well.
James is 6’3″ and 230 lbs and boy can he move. He bounds and glides when he runs and has that super quick twitch we look for in a top recruit. He has flat out hands down just looked to be the best of the best we have seen with the exception of a few guys like Joe Tryon (Hazen HS – WSU Offer) and Zaryk Boogie Davis (Oregon). Dodd is the real deal and has been just going off at camps and clinics all over the country.
Catch this wrecking ball right here.
James also played for Team USA in Texas recently and did very well. This week is he heading to camp at TCU and then will have an appearance at Texas! His road trip through the Lone Star State also included Texas State which was preceded by trips to Yale, Columbia, PSU, Idaho, and Montana. The 3.95 GPA student athlete has been on a road trip to end all road trips.
Dodd is for real and the facts are that an offer could well come from out of state schools. He would be a great addition to any school in our view- he is only going to get better.
Love this kid who represents the level of talent her in the NW yet to be offered by the bigger programs; we think that will happen next.
