Tahoma Giant Dallas Hayes Lands First Offer

Those wiley Wyoming Cowboys are up to it again. Riding into the Pacific Northwest looking to round up some more of our top talent. And tonight they pulled the Trigger on a big time linemen form Tahoma High School.

At 6’3″ and 295 pounds Dallas Hayes is a load. But there are a lot of big kids out there. This guy however is having a stellar Senior year and has added strength and speed to the mix making him effective and very dangerous in the trenches.

Those wiley Wyoming Cowboys are up to it again.  Riding into the Pacific Northwest looking to round up some more of our top talent.  And tonight they pulled the Trigger on a big time linemen form Tahoma High School.

At 6'3" and 295 pounds Dallas Hayes is a giant.  But there are a lot of big kids out there.  This guy however is having a stellar Senior year and has added strength and speed to the mix making him effective and very dangerous in the trenches.

He improved enough to impress his Coaches and they did what good coaches do.  They picked up the phone and made some calls to some guys they knew..

"Coach Davis (Head Coach Tony Davis) and my Defensive Line Coach Tyrone Williams called some teams for me and one of them was Wyoming.  They sent my films and the Coaches communicated back and forth quite a bit these past two weeks," said Hayes.  "That led to the offer tonight from the Wyoming Coaches who said they were making me a scholarship offer to play Defensive Tackle for them."

Dallas is a fine offensive center as well as a defensive tackle.   So we had to ask him.  Offense of Defense?

"Defense is it for me.  I have really grown into the role and love the contact and what is required of me there.  So I am really excited to be able to pursue that in college."

The big agile linemen has wrestled in the past and is enjoying his evolution as a thrower in Track and Field where he plans to compete this Spring.

Other schools in the mix for his football future are Washington State, Cal, Stanford, and Idaho.  He has yet to hear from the Huskies but would be intersted in anyone that migght be interested in him.

"I am going to take an official visit to Wyoming for sure and see what it is all about.  Right now I can definitely see myself ending up there.  A lot of good kids form Washington are there this season and I have heard some good things," he added.  "The Wyoming staff and I are going to stay in touch once a week from here on out and I need to just keep working and playing hard."

Dallas was on our Top Prospects for 2013 after we reviewed his film in Pre-season and he certainly has improved on things this year.  We congratulate him on the offer and the success he is having.
