He is so hot right now that the streams around Mill Creek, Washington are about ready to boil over! Daniel Arias of Henry Jackson High School has just received his 11th offer and many fo them just came in. We saw him for the second time at May Madness and it is safe to say this guy is as big and as fast of a WR target we have seen in many years.
The word on Arias is just starting to really get out. I saw him go up for a ball against a D1 CB and he elevated 3 feet over DB and grabbed the ball. When we watched his film we were shocked at his speed. After all he is 6'4" and 200 lbs and he moves like a sprinter.
His track numbers just came in and we have confirmed for you big time schools that Daniel is legitimately fast. He just ran an:
- 100M: 11.2
- 200M: 22.5
- 400M: 48.6 district and school record
These numbers put him amongst the fastest runners in the NW.
Let's add to that his reach we now have confirmed (he was not aware) is 6'7". He has a 35" vertical. Take a kid that is 6'4" and has a 6'7" wingspan. make him faster than almost every corner and safety in the NW, and let him line up and run. With defensive players more likely to be 5'9" to 6'0" the mismatches are obvious. He won the MVP for the Receivers group at May Madness which was a crazy lot of talent!
Daniel Arias has Pac 12 offers and it is pretty clear he could and may have SEC and other Power 5 Conferences after him before the end of June.
To date, he has offers from Colorado, Oregon State, Utah State, Weber State, Yale, Cornell, Hawaii, Wyoming, Nevada, Montana State, and Air Force. That is 11 solid schools and more than he needs. But there will be more.
When we see a big time speedster with great hands we are going to promote them. We did this a year ago with Chase Claypool out of BC and Chase went big ending up at Notre Dame where they burned his Redshirt so fast it made our head spin. Daniel it a lot like Chase. There is no school at any level who would not benefit by having him on their roster.
Best of all are his grades and scores. His 3.4 GPA and 1140 SAT score will help him gain access to almost any program. On top of all this is the thing we like about him most. He is capable and able to handle his business like a man and that is worth quite a lot, when bundled with his physical gifts it makes him the total blue-chip package.
We see stars in his near future and another 10-15 offers before his HS years are over. Great job Daniel. This is yet another talented High School football player from the Pacific NW and one of the best receivers we have seen in years!
He joins Chase Cota (South Medford HS, Oregon) and a growing list of big fast athletes in this seasons NW wide receiver recruiting class which we said 1 week ago was one of the most epic ever. Cota may be the best WR to come out of the NW since Jermain Kearse and Cooper Kupp.
No matter how we look at it the NW scene is on Fire!
