It is the end of Week 1 of Northwest High School Football and we will be having fun this season and tracking the best efforts of the Week.  Week 1's Update will be out on Wednesday and we ask you to join us and submit your favorite players and athletes!  Simply fill out the form below and we will review your input to make sure that your player(s) is/are recognized.

 

FRIDAY NIGHT's BEST WEEK ONE: Early Edition


  • Thomas Tyner- Aloha High School SR (OR):  10 Carries, 218 yards and 4 TD's.  3 Catches for 60 yards and 1 TD.  All in the First Half.
  • Caleb Hamiliton- Woodinville SR(WA):  3 Interceptions, 1 Fumble Recovery, 1 TD, 2 Pass Break Ups In Win
  • Billy Green-Kings HS SR(WA):  20-29 and 5 TD's In OT Win!
  • Jett Even-Tigard HS JR (OR): Jett threw 3 TD's going 8 for 9 and 146 yards in his first start for the Win!
  • Jake LaCoste-West ALbany JR (OR): Jake blew it up for 349 Yards and 7 TD's in 3 Quarters!  Sick!
  • AJ Glass-Jesuit SR (OR):  23 Carries, 323 yards rushing, 6 TD's!  WOW FACTOR FOR AJ
  • Reilley Hennessy-Camas JR (WA):  25-34 426 yards and 4 TD's In First Start!
  • Julius Rucker-Westview SR (OR):  139 yards passing and 2 TD's and 40 Yards Rushing for the W in his first start!
  • Tyler Gonzalez-McKay High School (Or): 4 TD's; 3 in Quarter #2 for the big Win!
  • Kyle Eckrosh-Beaverton SR (OR): 3 Passing TD's and one running for the win over Forest Grove!
  • Forrest Broadie-Hood River (OR):  3 TD's and 133 Yards Rushing to Beat Sandy!
  • Justin Adams-Sandy SR (OR): 301 yards passing, 4 TD's and I Int.
  • Alex Tracy-Cleveland (OR):  236 yards Rushing and 3 TD's.
  • Nick Schoebel-Centennial SR (OR): 377 Yards Rushing and 5 TD's in a Huge win!  A Fullback too!
  • Nate Halverson-Grant SR (OR): 244 yards on 12 Catches and 3 TD's- 1 KR for 82 yards!
  • Cristian Morris-Sherwood SR (OR):  133 yards on 11 carries and a TD and the W in his return from an injury prone 2011!
  • DeVauntae Hoffman-Gresham SR (OR):  177 yards and two TD's in the Win on 23 Carries.
  • Trey Reynolds-Eastside Catholic (WA):  Led his team with 3 TD's to the Victory!  Nice JOb Trey!
  • Gary Gomez-Crescent Valley SR (OR):  Gary had an inspired game-21 Carries for 168 and 1 TD before suffering a season ending injury.  We send our prayers to him and his family for quick and complete healing from a really severe football injury!
  • Nic Sblendorio-Skyline SR (WA):  The amazing kid had 86 yds receiving, a Pick 6, and a Punt Return for a TD!
  • Devin Brown-Foster HS (WA): 153 yards and a pair of TD's in the Opener.
  • Brian Higgins-Mercer Island (WA):  25-36 Passing and 5 TD's!  Not to shabby Brian!
  • Kahlil Dawson-Graham-Kapowsin Sr (WA): 95 Yard Kick Return for TD in win over Post Falls, Idaho. 103 yds on 3 Catches too!
  • Ralph Kinne- Shelton HS SR (WA):  328 Yards on 21 Carries- 3 TD's- Freight Train a Coming!
  • Matt Bender-Steilacoom (WA): 146 Yards, 3 Catches, 2 TD's
  • Sefo Liufau-Bellarmine Prep SR (WA): Mr Efficient went 16-18 and 2 TD's for 202 yards.  Got the W!
  • Addison Johnson- Courdelene SR (ID):  170 Yards receiving and 3 TD's in 5 Catches For the W!
  • J'Maka Love-Lincoln HS SR (WA): BIg Performance! Moved to QB a week ago, ran for 154 yards and 2 TD's and Passed for 181 and 3 and helped John Kitna land a W in his first game as Head Coach!  WOW what a great job J'Maka.
  • DeJon Lynch-Sumner HS JR (WA): Better watch out for this transfer from BC. 6'-210 Lbs and ran for 110 on 10 and a TD!
  • Kevin Haynes-Battleground SR (WA):  315 Yards Rushing, 5 TD's 65 yards Receiving, 1 TD + STUD= WIN!
  • Clayton Frank – Columbia River (WA) : 400 Yards of offense.  5 TD's.  Amazing Win!
  • Ryan Fassler-Prosser HS JR (WA): Overtime win over Kamiakin with great play and leadership!
  • Jaylan Devine-Janford HS (WA):  209 Yards Rushing 1 TD
  • Kolney Cassel-Eisenhower SR (WA):  289 Yards Passing ; 24-40- 3 TD
  • Ridge Harmon-Eisenhower JR (WA):  14 Catches for 159 yards and 2 TD's in win over Wenatchee!
  • Jake Gall-Cle Elum SR (WA):  Mr Everything led his team with 104 yards Rushing on 10 carries and 1 TD, Caught 4 passes for 60 and another TD, had an Interception and had 15 Tackles.  Portland State is stealing this kid!
  • Tyler Kretschman-Cle Elum SR (WA): The QB led the smallest team in 1 A to a win over a good Selah team (2A) and threw 3 TD's.
  • Christian Olson-Ferris (WA):  The young Ferris Squad has only 8 Seniors.  But Olson led the way with 123 Rushing and 183 Passing in the win over CV.
  • Griffin Hare-Gonzaga Prep (WA):  159 yards rushing
  • Zach Bonneau-Gonzaga Prep (WA): 160 yards rushing, 2 TD's from his QB Spot for the win over Lewis and Clark.
  • The Mead High Panthers- (WA)- Their 43-10 win over University was a total team effort on both sides.  #3 in State for a Reason!
  • Jack Flor-O'Dea (WA):  136 Yards on 9 Carries to Pave the Way For O'Dea Over Gig Harbor in the Opener.
  • Shane Nelson-Tahoma HS (WA): 29-41 / 335 yards and 3 TD's in The Win!

  • Bellevue Wolverines- Bellevue, Washington:  Team Win!  Over a Major Texas Powerhouse like Trinity this was Big!  Stand outs were all over the field.  Non-Bigger then Nate DeRider who had a great game and an Interception to win it all in OT 31-24.    Ryan Bordner nailed a nice 28 yard field goal for Bellevue that in retrospect was the game in many ways.  Budda Baker was usntoppable and had the winning TD in OT and played some vicious defense too!  Truly an inspired effort.  Myles Jack was amazing with two big scores, some big runs, and a nasty sack that put the Trinity QB Out!  Sean Constantine and Michael Carlson were great all night.  Maybe the biggest story of the Night was the Bellevue Front 4-5 for the D'Line and O'Line who were Giant Killers.  Darien Freeman, Marcus Griffin, Shane Bowman, and Nick Santa were just a few of the guys who gave themselves to the game to pull out the Win and in doing so took on the biggest line we have ever seen on a HS Team.  And they were all Victorius!  Way to go Wolverine Nation!
