Yesterday we covered our first Class of 2020 offered athlete in Garfield High School recruit Sav’ell Smalls who the Huskies have just offered. That precipitated a call for any other 2020 fast risers and we had a couple of submissions. Check out this kid!
Ferndale (WA) HS is the home of Freshmen Geirean Hatchett who at 6’5″- 235 lbs is already big enough to play college ball. The rangy OL / Defensive End started for his varsity squad and showed up big time just like the aforementioned Smalls.
Geirean showcases in his film natural ability and above average speed. He does a great job with his hands and arms using his length to shed blockers and move up field on defense. On Offense he is used as a pulling guard and showed the same thing, great body position and the ability to extend his arms into defenders and finishing them with above average lower body strength.
Football is a game of bigger faster stronger and here again is a freshmen who is already performing at a level most upperclassmen of note should. We have every reason to believe this young man will be a leading recruit in the class of 2020. Best wishes to him.
