Hawaii Academic All American Game Team 2012 Champs

It was a freezing cold day at Lewis and Clark College as we watched the Academic All American Game go down between Team Hawaii and Team Oregon.   At times we saw snow flakes mixed in the torrent that was coming down at Griswold Stadium.   It was cold enough the big camera we planned to shoot stills with stopped working.

And the signal at Lewis and Clark of course did not work.  Did that stop up?  Heck no.  One of the Oregon Dads sprung into action and set us up a hot spot on his I Pad through his Verizon 4 G mobile service and we were able to broadcast off of that Mac Gyver our way through the U Stream live feed process.

About 200 of our fans watched and we received several thank you emails from families in Hawaii thanking us for letting them watch their kids last game ever.  That was pretty cool.

The game was a hard fought battle.  In fact with several lead changes, a 14-13 lead at half for Oregon and some big time hits the Academic All American Bowl Game finished with a Hail Mary pass that Oregon launched for the Win.  It was not caught but was certainly close to being caught and the game ended on that play with Hawaii taking it 27-25.

Here are some clips of the second half that will let you see about an hour of football and we did our best to cover the game and the kids.  We also saw a total of about 15 colleges there at the game today watching these kids battle it out.
