Bothell High School scholar athlete Jackson Keimig had no offers as of 3 months ago. Today alone he landed 3 as Montana, Montana State, and Columbia University moved in and made him an offer to play for them on scholarship. It was a memorable day for sure for the 6’3″- 215 lb. H-Back and Outside Linebacker.
Jackson had this to say, ” It is hard to express. I guess it kind of took my breath away you know? The offers came one after the next and I am still trying to take it all in.”
Hard to take in because a few months back he was unsure just like most every High School kid in the Nation is if all their efforts are going to pay off. While we had no doubt what would happen he and his family could not have known. Withing the last month he has received offers from Idaho, then Dartmouth, then Bryant, and last week it was Air Force Academy. The 3 today bring his haul to 7 and he is wondering what is next.
“I have been hearing from Wyoming quite a bit and in the morning several of us are working out for Nevada at the school,” said Keimig from an ice bath. “I do not know what is going to happen next but I am just so happy and honored to be sitting here with these great choices I have. It is a real blessing.”
Several schools in the Pac 12 appear to be close and Utah may be at the heart of the next opportunity for him. Stanford has been in touch as well. His size and body type are typical for a big time prospect so in his case it is going to be more about position. Someone like Oregon State could swallow this kid up and make him a big time H-Back or Linebacker. It is unlikely in our view that he makes it through the season without several offers. One thing is for sure. Jackson Keimig will never forget 5/29/2014; the 3 offer day.
Now you can see Jackson Keimig and at least 600 top recruits at the Northwest Elite Football Camp next week. If you are a coach get there. If your a a recruit there are still a few spots left! We hope to see you all there at the biggest camp in the West.
