Joey Zamora Gaining Interest As FBU Camp Starts

One of the top QB’s at that Camp or that we have seen anywhere this past season is 6’3″- 227 lb Junior Joey Zamora of Chiawana HS In Pasco, Washington. At the camp he was spot on and while not mechanically perfect he showed terrific arm strength and a physical ability of a college QB. The great thing to see was how much he was able to pick up from Chris Miller in a short period of time.

Joey Zamora Gaining Interest As FBU Camp Starts

It was a great weekend last Saturday for a bunch of the best QB’s in the Northwest as the Chris Miller 1 day Camp rolled into Kennewick, Washington.  It is not everyday an All Pro Qb who threw for almost 20,000 yards in the NFL comes out East of the Cascades.

Chiawana HS of Pasco is home of the Riverhawks and of this guy! 6'3"- 220 lb Joey Zamora. A 2014 prospect Joey is a known entity and has the guys to go deep into the post season this year. He did it all very well. His physicality was the most impressive. That is a prototype body for a big time QB who can throw deep and run you over too. We love him; a top recruit this year.

One of the great things that came out of the Camp was the fact we were able to see some guys in a small group format like that and watch them throw for almost 3 hours.  Miller brought his interactive Coaching style with him and did some great work.  As Camp ended it was clear he was happy with what he saw.

“He is a great looking athlete,” said Miller as we spoke by phone.  “With some more work he can be special.  Joey was one of several QB’s that really wowed me at the camp there in the Tri-Cities.”

This weekend Zamora is in Seattle at the FBU Football Camp where he and his team mate Alex Weber are joining other top stars and younger kids from around the region.  It will be interesting to see how much more he improves the next 3 days as Miller will be there coaching him.  Chris promised to contact coaches on behalf of the top kids he coaches and we saw him doing just that after camp last weekend so the man is dedicated.

Zamora goes under center and Chiawana likes to run that rock and he does that well too.  There are a few special plays here on his film where that arm is lightning fast and boy does he deliver!  Should be a fun year ahead for the Riverhawks and Joey is set to lead the team as a Senior.

Here is an interview with this very recruitable athlete!
