Kaimana Wa’a Lands First Offer

Kaimana Wa’a Lands First Offer

Several of the best of the NW are having a big weekend so far.  Several colleges launched offers for some of the best athletes in the 2019 class and for some of them it was their first!    One of them is one of the best athletic big men on the West Coast for 2019.  Let’s check in on Kaimana Wa’a.

Kaimana Wa’a – Crescent Valley (OR)- OL/DL

Just landed his first offer from Portland State.  This big kid is a STUD!  Heavyweight wretlin star, shot putting 53 feet plus, incredible power and strength, and a heart of gold.  He plays both sides of the ball and project well as Center / Guard.  We are so very happy for Kaimana.

He gave us a quick quote:

“It was an amazing feeling getting the offer.  I’d just like to thank God for blessing me with one! Let’s just see where this will take me,” he said super happy with the Vikings offer.   “It feels unreal receiving an offer from PSU!”

Coach Barnum is not a guy to throw offers around at all.  They see Wa’a for what he is and apparently they want him at Center which is a spot he is focused on playing.  He hails from a great Hawaiian family with ties directly to Jeremy Perry (OSU) and the Wa’a crew is beloved in the Corvallis area where the kids are very involved in all sorts of sports and other pursuits!  Big day in the Wa’a household!

Kaimana is on our Pac NW Top 50 and one of the top 5 linemen in the Pacific NW!  More to follow!
