Lakeridge Gunner Eric Dungey Lands Montana State Offer

Montana State was hosting a few recruits this weekend even in the cold of Spring in the Rockies.  Football never stops anymore.  Neither does star Lakeridge High School QB Eric Dungey.  The 6’4″- 205 lb gunslinger was up in Bozeman, Montana this weekend and had a good visit. In fact it was a great visit and Eric called today to fill us in.

Eric Dungey is a 6'4"-205 Pound QB at Lakreidge HS in Oregon and is one of the best in the west.

“I am just heading home and it was a very successful visit.  Coach Ash made me and offer while I was there for a full ride scholarship.  He wants me to come in and compete for a chance to play right away.  I also met with Coach Cramey, the QB Coach, and we watched some film together.  There is no doubt I fit well into the offense the Bobcats run.”

Coming off Harvard and Yale offers Eric is now sitting on 3 options.  No one on the inside sees the interest stopping.  He has a host of Pac 12 schools courting him.  And there are others like Boise State and Tennessee that want a closer look.

“I have Junior Day at Boise State on April 5th and then Tennessee wants me out there in the Spring and that is really great to have them interested.  So I am going to try and make it out there.  And ASU has been in touch a lot so we are trying to get down there too,” added Dungey.

Eric is a pragmatic and very business like young man.  He is a scholar athlete and we have covered him several times.  The thing Coaches have to be looking at is despite his ridiculous passing stats he can run.

“Montana State sees that.  They like my speed and the physicality I bring when I run.   That is part of my game I want to be able to use as I move into college.”

Look for Eric Dungey to make stops at the Elite 11 and the Nike NFTC camp at Oregon as well.  There is no reason he is not going to be one of the finest QB’s in the West; he really has that much to offer.  This offer was one reflection upon that and a great move that Montana State made.
