Back to Oregon after spending several stories in a row on Washington and Idaho prospects! For all of you tracking the 2015 Prospects you better note this big agile kid. At Sprague High School our friend Coach Jay Minyard has a good thing going. The Oly’s are always tough and this year should be another good season.
One of several gifted 2015 athletes is 6’7″- 265 lb Levi Long. We had a chance to see the massive linemen work in pads for 3 days at the 2013 Trench Camp.
His size is his gift. For now. But he is also going to be one of the more agile linemen and with 2 seasons of High School ball left we are looking at a 300 lb proto-type offensive tackle. He has a lot of work to do but we saw a coachable tough kid who want to compete and win. That was the best thing about him.
He is moving into the upper section of our 2015 watch list and will be one to watch. There is no way this kid does not get his shot at college if he stays on his grades and his grind.
Best wishes to Levi. Here is the interview we did with him back in June at the Trench Camp!
