If you think you have heard of the name Mason Tobeck before your may have. But the average football fan would more likely have heard of his Dad Robbie Tobeck who was a WSU Cougar, Atlanta Falcon, and Seattle Seahawk. The former Center was a great one and played in 2 Super Bowls in his 6 years in the NFL. Mason is his son and a 2015 prospect at Cascade Christian High School. He has just launched himself onto the radar big time with an offer to play football for Colorado State which just came in.
The 6’2″- 210 lb athlete is an exciting combination of size and speed and really fits the mold of a kid that can bounce back and forth between TE / H-Back / and OLB. Mason had a great Junior season at CC and was noticeable all year on both sides of the ball making big play after big play. His film can be seen below and is a testament to his speed and ability to separate from defenders in any fast paced offense.
“The offer was amazing. To say I was excited is an understatement,” said Tobeck. “I have been wanting an offer forever and to finally get one is crazy!”
Tobeck said he spoke to the Rams Tight Ends Coach and then Head Coach Jim McElwain who confirmed the offer the other day.
“I have got a lot of work to do but it is sure nice to have one!”
Tobeck will have more. His 4.69 speed and combination of size and hands are attractive no doubt. He posted 100 tackles, 7 TFL, 4 Sacks, Intercpetion, 386 yards, and 7 TD’s on just 21 catches during his Junior Year!
Watch Mason get it done is 2013 and you will see what all the excitement is about! We look forward to doing mire updates on the nifty 2015 athlete.
