Montana Recruit Carson Katen Continues His Campaign

Montana Recruit Carson Katen Continues His Campaign

During the off season last year we were introduced first hand to Montana big man Carson Katen out of Florence-Carlton High School.  The 6’4″- 230 lb. fast mover is a formidable tight end and a hard charging defensive end.

There is a lot to like about Katen.  His speed off the ball, his soft hands in the passing lanes, and his aggressive approach to the game.  Carson has a big frame and clearly can add another 20 or 30 pounds of good weight in the next couple of years.  He competed at almost all of the off season camps and held his own and at times was the best of the bunch among the masses of top NW recruits.

He appears on our All NW Top 300 list and we expect him to have collegiate offers and options if he continues to pay the way he is playing in his first 3 game highlight that was just released!  Have a look for yourself and we will stay i touch with the big kid for the Big Sky state!

Unbelievable at first now nothing you do surprises me when locating prospects. You should publish a what to do book for prospects and their parents. From my life experience one suggestion would be identify schools with strength in field of study desired. Go to their camp between junior and senior year.
