Nike Elite 11 2013 Brings Future College And NFL Stars To Oregon

If you want to see the future of the NCAA and the NFL look no further then the Nike Elite 11 which is going down at Nike's World Campus this weekend.  It may be hot out but the action over in Beaverton is even Hotter!  The Top 11 QB's in the USA are there working out for an All Star cast of Coaches led by Trent Dilfer.  The annual event is the Mecca for all QB's and these 11 are more or less annointed as the future of the NCAA and time has shown the NFL too.

This event also brought in some of the best Regional Talent at the receiver spot as select kids were invited to come catch passes for these amazing athletes.  In that group was Horizon Christian's (OR) Isaiah Hall, Timberline High (WA) Schools Asan Neil-Evergin, and Roosevelt HS (OR) star James Schell-Buchanan just to name a few.

Also invited to work with the Elite 11 was Coach John Charles of  Air One Football Academy (OR-WA)  who is fresh off his run with the Nike Football Training Camp,  Coach Lavelle Durant of Seattle who Coaches a large number of rising star QB's which included Billy Green (BYU) and Isaac Dotson (WSU) last season, and Coach Damon Griffin of Salem who runs his own training academy and recruitment service and is a former Oregon Duck and NFL Star!  These guys and some others are moving into the elite position as coaches in the off season who are helping kids move up to College.

This Years Elite QB's are:

Stand out performers for us in Day 1 were David Cornwell of Oklahoma who is an Alabama commit.  The kid is 6'5" ans 235 lbs and throws an NFL caliber pass.  Given his size and footwork he was hard to beat on the day.

Kyle Allen of Scottsdale, AZ was solid all day long and had tremendous balance, presence, and feet.  Trent Dilfer continued to praise this kid and he was just smooth and rarely made mistakes.  The Texas A & M commit is a real field general and appears ready to lead and be an efficient part of the Aggies future success.

Stanford commit Keller Chryst is at least 6'4" and 220 lbs although his figures may say otherwise.  He showed the ability to place the ball exactly where he needed too and has tremendous touch reacting well to a variety of defensive schemes he was faced with.  This is a big time QB folks.

Things wrap up today at Nike for the Elite 11 and The Opening comes right on the heels of those events!
