NW Giants Lead Nation’s Linemen

NW Giants Lead Nation’s Linemen

Gosh darn it we have some fantastic football players here in the Pacific NW.  Year after year we send solid waves of recruits into the collegiate ranks at all levels. For me this has been especially awesome to see because the numbers have grown in the last 13 years 3 or 4 fold.  That was when we started our work and the fuse was lit here in the NW.  So many people and great coaches have helped out along the way and the boys just kept getting bigger and better.

Of all of our athletes we have been most prolific at putting linemen out and the State or Oregon, Washington, and Idaho have been prolific.  We are all so proud of these guys.  Let’s have a look at some of the biggest names who hail from our very own Land of the Giants!

Pac 12 2016 First Team Offense include:

OL Trey Adams, So., Washington – Wenatchee HS (WA) – Sophomore 6’8″-315
OL Zach Banner, Sr., USC – Lakes HS (WA) – Senior 6’9″-360
OL Jake Eldrenkamp, Sr., Washington- Bellevue (WA) – Senior 6’6″- 320

Pac 12 2016 Honorable Mentions include:

  • Calvin Throckmortin – Oregon – Newport HS (WA)- RS Freshmen 6’5″- 300 lbs
  • Cole Madison – WSU – Kennedy Catholic (WA) – Junior 6’5″- 320 lbs
  • Cody O’Connell – Wenatchee HS (WA) – Junior 6’8″-354 lbs lbs

Now on top of all of this we have the continued Rise of:

Zach Banner, First Team Consensus All American- Biggest Human Being to play football right now at 6’9″-360 lbs

Cody O’Connell who has been named a 1st Team PFF All American as a Guard.  Top 10 Humans playing Football right now at 6’8″-354 lbs

Cole Madison has been named to the PFF Second Team All American.

Big Night tonight for O’Connell who they call “The Continent” up at WASU.  He is a finalist for the OUTLAND TROPHY and he is in Atlanta for some All American nominations from ESPN.  Watch that coming up at 4 PM today!
He was also named All American by the Sporting News and SB Nation.

Joshua Garnett of Puyallup, WA won the Outland Last Season and went from Stanford to become a 1st round NFL draft Pick.   He and Banner along with Tacoma Baptist (WA) High School stud Walker Williams (Wisconsin) used to regularly train together in Tacoma and many were the times we had a chance to enjoy watching them work.

Expect to see Cody O’Connell and Banner go high in the Draft this year with the rest of these amazing athletes following them in a year or two.  When you consider these are the highest awards in the Nation and a handful even get selected we surely see the impact of our NW boys!  Way to go guys?

Now who is next?
