Henry Vy is a very impressive Senior student athlete at Parkrose High School. The do it all leader has showcased some Raw athletic skills all over the field this season so far. And many onlookers are asking who he is.
We first met Henry at one of the many off season camps our staff made it out to. John Charles, the founder of Air One Football, had pulled us aside to make sure we took a hard look at Henry. He passed the look test in terms of muscular frame and athletic build. But when he ran the gauntlett at Air One and caught every single football that was fired at him full speed we realized what John was saying.
Vy (Prounounced VEE) has a very fast get off, unbelieveable hands and feet, and an amazing demeanor. The kid is convinced no one can beat him. And most nights he is right.
Through 3 Games he had almost 700 yards and 7 TD's and did in while playing 2 or 3 positions and starting every down on defense. Last week he took over at QB and threw a TD with no time to prepare. The kid is for real. And any school would be lucky to have him. Here is more on Henry V in the 2 Minute Drill:

ON: How is the Season Going so far for you and the Team?
The season started with a bang! Going 2-0 was big for the school. Our team is continuing to grow each and everyday. As for me the seasons going well, putting up stats that I am happy with. For 3 Games so far:

What Position(s) are you playing this season?
Running Back and Strong Safety
ON: Are you happy with your progress?
My strengths as an athlete is my versatility. I can go out and catch the ball, pound it in for short yardage, or break a long run with my speed. I am an all around player. Thus far I am happy with my numbers, still a lot to improve.
On: What is your favorite part of the Football season?
My favorite part is winning of course! Other then that, the time i get to spend with my team mates during the games and off of the field.
In a year from now what do you want to look back on and remember about this season that is just ahead?
I want to look back at a successful year for the program. Making the state playoffs and growing as a team are top Goals!
Name some guys who you have been impressed with on your team? Any surprises or young guys standing out?
Jonathan Boland a Sophmore QB OL & Josh Bradford and Freshman RB Robin Richmond.
ON: Why should a college recruit you when there are so many kids out there? What sets you apart?
I am a hard working athlete who does not have the word "Can't" in his vocabulary. Also my ability to listen and to learn are strengths. |
