AJ Woodin may not be as well known as other QB’s around the NW but the kid is a stud. Over the past 3 years we have seen him rolling every weekend. Camps, 7 on 7, Workouts, the guy lives for the game. HIs size may not be proto-typical but that is about the only thing that is not.
Woodin comes into his 3rd year with the Skyhawks of Beaverton, Oregon having started most of last year and some as a 1oth grader. There is a lot we can say about AJ and all of it is good. Great arm, good presence in the pocket, terrific ability to sell the play action, and man that accuracy.
You could say he has the Golden Gun. Literally.
“I won the Golden Gun Award at the Elite 11,” said Woodin. “That was a big honor especially when many of the Nation’s top rated QB’s were there.”
The Elite 11 is in fact the premier QB event and the Golden Gun goes to the most accurate passer at the camp. Man he earned it too.
Equally impressive was his showing at the All Poly Camp which many believe is the toughest Camp in the US. In Pads AJ went the distance with many D-1 athletes on the field and he carried off that MVP as well. Very impressive stuff!
Watch AJ’s Film right here and you will see that pin point control and accuracy at work in pads which is the only thing college coaches really care about. Woodin will have a literal arsenal at the WR and RB slots at Southridge this Fall and you have to know he and the #1 WR in the Region, Jordan Morgan, are going to hook up!
Any Coach at any level of College Football better be watching this guy because his skill set is big time. We can not wait to see what he does as the year gets going. Here is the interview we caught with AJ Woodin at the PSU Camp this Summer.
