Turman Excited To Get Going

Interlake will have a good shot to be solid again this year.  And in doing so they look to the air potentially rather then rely on the record breaking ground game they had last season ala Jordan Todd.  No this season the two biggest threats appear to be Kamana Adriano and Ryan Turman.  While the two are different in some ways they both bring a lot to the field.

Adriano is the fleet footed explosive kid who can play in the slot, at WR or out of the backfield.  He had a great off season and picked up a nice offer from Big Sky Northern Colorado.  Kamana hit a lot of camps and showcase events and he bottom line is the kid is a stand out.

Right there with him for the Saints is 6'1"- 185 Pound WR/DB Ryan Turman.  He also was a busy boy this summer and showed out very well at the off season events too after having a very solid Junior year.  So we caught up to Ryan to see where things are at as the season gets close.

  • "The main schools I've been talking to are Utah,  Purdue, and Idaho.

I have been talking also to UW, UCLA, and WSU and I get tickets to their home games and I will be going to at least one for each school and definitely a lot for Utah.  I will go out to Purdue and Idaho too," said Turman.

  • "I have gained weight and muscle and at 190lbs now and I play corner now.  That has been a good fit."

Ryan is tough and grinds on the field and that and his hard work should help him succeed.  These bigger schools are circling a lot of kids like Adriano and Turman but usually do not move in until mid season if they have not done so already.  That is fine with him as he says he is being patient and really looking at all his options.

He has spoken to Central Washington where his infamous team mate Todd is at this season and says he is speaking to a lot of D-3 schools as well.

"I am keeping in communication with a lot of schools and making sure all my options are wide open.  Eventually I will find a good home," he concluded.

One thing for sure is that Interlake will have a couple of the best weapons in the State in these two guys.  And we are excited to see what happens next.
