Beavers Move On Shane Bowman Of Bellevue

Wow the Beavers have been busy.  They have made at least 5 or 6 offers the last 2-3 days and they struck again this afternoon by offering Shane Bowman of Bellevue.  The #1 sack leader in the State in 2012 has a lot going for him and offers to boot but he did not have a Pac 12 offer.

"Oregon State offered me today.  Coach Joe Seumalo spoke to me directly and let me know that between the NW Elite Football Camp at Mercer Island and the one day camp I did at OSU yesterday he saw enough of me.  He said the Beavers love my skills and want me to play for them as a defensive end," said Bowman.  "It was a great offer and really exciting for me."

Right: Shane (left) and his brother Ryan who is an underclassmen on the rise!

The 6'3" 245 lb powerhouse is honing his technique with NFL great Chuck Smith this week in Atlanta where he will be joined by his team mate who is the top Defensive Tackle in the Region and a WSU commit; Marcus Griffin.   His younger brother Ryan is going out with the duo to train and Shane loves how he is looking too.

"I had Nevada and UNLV and NCU before the Northwest Elite Football Camp.  Since then I have added Montana State, Montana, and now OSU.  There is no doubt things have really picked up for me and the first Pac 12 offer feels nice."

Shane impressed us and was named First Team All NWEFC D-Linemen.  His power and his motor are his trademark.  He can really play the game of football and now his size and his positional skills are becoming better and better skills.

Can he see himself playing at OSU?

"Oh yes for sure.  That school and all the coaches are really great.  I am not setting a time table for deciding but there is no doubt this is a great offer.  I am looking at all the other schools too and am not crossing anyone off the list yet." added Shane.

He says he understands the sort of defense OSU runs and he has read up on the Coaches and the success the program has had at putting players into the NFL.    All things he is thinking about for sure.  He also clicked very well with Coach Seumalo and loved his teaching style and knowledge.

"He is a smart Coach and is passionate.  All the Beavers coaches are and that is genuine..you can tell.  They are all just great guys."

Shane flew to UCLA Friday and battled it out at their camp where he says he had a great day.  Then it was off to OSU and immediately home to get ready for the trip to Atlanta to train with Smith.  Some other schools in touch are WSU and Boise State who he says are in touch regularly with him.

He hopes to stud Sports Medicine in college and is also looking into his business degree. One thing is for sure.  Shane Bowman is hot and is only getting hotter.

Great offer for him today and he is clearly established as a Pac 12 recruit now!
