With all the talk about the Quarterbacks in the Class of 2015 and how many of them are landing offers it is easy to overlook the 2016 Top Gunslinger crew. Not here at NWPR. We get to them all sooner or later and tonight I want to mention one young man who in my view has been totally unheralded up to this point. And he has played Varsity his Freshmen and started his Sophomore years on perhaps the most storied program in the State of Oregon; the Jesuit Crusaders.
Last season anyone at a Jesuit game saw Eric Restic (6’0″-170 lbs) leading his team in every way a guy can lead. He is a very smart & cagey kid and with massive players crashing down around him he kept his cool and made plays more often then not. His arm while developing is on par to be very good by the time he is done. As far as being a play maker we give Restic top marks. As the Crusaders watched their super star All American Joey Alfieri (Stanford) go down last season Eric and a host of other young Crusaders rose and week by week they became a threat to win it all.
In the State final he refused to quit making several big time plays and even after being picked off and just battered by the Central Catholic Defensive line led by All American and ASU commit Connor Humphreys he stayed tough and found Oregon commit Henry Mondeaux (TE) on a nice play action pass to bring the game close. He is a tough kid and deserves serious considerations over the next couple years.
Eric will head North on June 6th and represent the great State of Oregon and Jesuit High School at the biggest showcase football camp in the West; the former Jason Gesser camp know known as the Northwest Elite Football Camp or “The Big Camp”. We will be watching Eric Restic and a host of other Oregon kids as they join with 500 plus top level recruits to perform in front of dozens of the best College coaches in the United States. With over 30 schools confirmed the camp now in it’s 6th year is going to be insane and unprecedented.
Join Eric Restic and all the athletes coming to compete and register while there is still room to do so at NWEliteSports.com.
We hope to see you there!
