Camp season is almost upon us with May and June bringing some amazing events to the Pacific Northwest. Northwest Prep Report is once again proud to be a leader in the coverage of these events and we are making appearances at all of the events that warrant our attention and the attendance of our NW athletes. We do not endorse many camps and are stingy with our praise. There are far too many camps and combines and other self proclaimed “must attend” events.
If we endorse them they are the best of the best and have consistently delivered value and benefits in terms of skill development and exposure opportunities.
Let’s start off with the Trench Camp! The best linemen’s camp in the Nation coached by NFL greats. Not only were these players the masters of Sunday football they are masters of technique! Led by former offensive linemen Stan Brock the Trench Camp has grown into a mecca for linemen on both sides of the ball serious about making it as a starter and impact player in High School and beyond.
We plan to be at both camps- Portland and Seattle – Here is a Press release and you can register to attend at TrenchCamp.com.
Trench Camp Announces 2nd Camp in Seattle and even more NFL
Standouts
(Portland, OR) Trench Camp, devoted exclusively to high school offensive and defensive
linemen, has announced a second camp in Seattle, WA due to the overwhelming response to
their original camp in Portland.
According to Trench Camp co-founder and 16-year NFL veteran, Stan Brock, “the Portland camp
has grown beyond our wildest expectations and so many players were coming from the Puget
Sound that we thought it was an easy decision to add a second camp there.”
The Seattle camp will take place at Arlington High School July 29-31 and will feature Brock,
former Seahawk and 49’er, Manu Tuiasosopo, Dallas Cowboys All Pro Kevin Gogan, Neil Elshire
and Art Kuehn to name just a few of the former NFL linemen who will teach the kids.
This year’s Portland camp returns to Lewis & Clark College July 10-12 and features several
newcomers including defensive standouts Keith Millard and Dana Stubblefield as well as 3-time
Super Bowl champ Guy McIntyre.
Millard was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1989 and Stubblefield took that same honor
in 1997. Stubblefield also has a Super Bowl ring with the San Francisco 49’ers.
“These two camps feature more former NFL linemen than any other camp in the country” says
Brock, “and we’re seeing kids come from as far away as California, Utah and Texas to learn from
the very best.”
