You can search the entire United States for a linemen camp and you will not find one as well run and as expertly staffed as the Trench Camp, which returns to Portland (OR) for its 7th season. Led by NFL great and local legend Coach Stan Brock, the camp is unique in America. I am a fan and supporter of all coaches running camps and events for big-men and we are fortunate in the NW to have some great coaches getting the work done. For a 3 day camp in pads, this one stands out for the progression of skill, the careful repetition of the technique, and the application of that technique through progressive 1-1 and group drills. Coaches, athletes, and collegiate hopefuls listen up- this is your chance to learn and improve. Believe me, when I say the words these men speak and the skills they teach are pure big-man gold! GET TO TRENCH CAMP GUYS!
(Portland, OR) From its humble beginnings back in 2011 with only 70 participants, Trench Camp is now entering its 7 th year and expects close to 200 kids at its 2018 Portland camp. Trench Camp brings together former NFL legends like Stan Brock (Trench Camp Founder), his brother Willie, Manu Tuiasosopo, Kevin Gogan, Jeff Pahukoa, Neil Elshire and others to teach high school linemen the attitude and technique needed to take their game to the next level.
Trench Camp takes place at Lewis and Clark College in Portland July 13-15.
“I had coached at a lot of camps after my 16-year NFL career ended,” says Brock, “and I noticed
two things immediately. First, it seemed that many of these camps weren’t interested in
teaching at all but only making a buck. And second, there were hardly any camps for the guys in
the trenches, the offensive, and defensive linemen.”
According to Brock, Trench Camp is the preeminent linemen camp in the nation and kids from all across the nation converge on Portland to improve their skills.
“Our camps feature more former NFL linemen than any other camp in the country,” says Brock,
“and we’re seeing kids come from as far away as California, Utah, Texas and even Canada to learn
from the very best.”
Again, Trench Camp takes place from July 13-15 at Lewis & Clark College. For more information or to register from the camp, go to www.trenchcamp.com
