Back to the Running Backs we met this off season today and it was a kid from way down the Southern Oregon coast that had us talking at the RDAF Camp. The kid had flash and flare and made all the right moves and at 6’3″- 190 lbs he showcased silk smooth moves and a nice burst of speed. Now there are not that many running backs that are 6’3″ and Woods is only going to be a Junior so he will likely move out to WR or TE and even more likely he would be a Safety or walk up outside linebacker if his growth projects the way it should.
The fact he had a big season in 2014 and the Bulldogs lost a close one for the 4A State Title to Gladstone is weighing on him no doubt but inspiring him at the same time. As young as he is he must be excited to have two more chances in the next 2 seasons win it all.
Woods looked as good as almost any running back in any class at the RDAF Football Camp and therefore we mention him here as a leader in the skill and athlete group for the Oregon 2017 Class. Here is a short interview we did with Trey and his HUDL film for your review; which only has 28 views as of the publishing of this story and should have 20 times that- the kid is that good!
