One  of the guys trying to fight his way to the top of the pack in the Football world is Interlake High School's Ryan Turman.  Knowing that he needed to make a hard push to get his shot he has been one busy guy.  That has included regular work outs and stops at a number of places.

The gifted athlete is projecting as a Wide Receiver and a DB.  He is willing to put in the time and work to get where he needs to go and is making some progress out there.  He released some new film a month or so ago which helped as his first effort included about 14 minutes and was too long. The new and reduced film is very good and shows off a number of his best skills and is embedded below for your review.

"I am in touch with schools at all levels.  Right now I have been hearing from WSU, Utah, UW, UCLA, CWU, Humboldt State, Idaho, Virginia State and a number of schools.  And for me I am wide open to what level I play at," said Turman.

"WSU and UTAH are pretty hot on me and I have been invited to Camp there at both schools.  They like me and want to see me up close," added Turman saying things have really been heating up and that he will be at the OSU and probably the UW Camp too.

What has helped him get better and be ready?

"A few things have helped.  Track has made me much faster and that will show up on the field.  Getting to the the Nike NFTC, NW Elite Football Camp (Gesser Camp), and SPARQ Event in June are on my schedule, and there is something else that has been great," he added.  "Myles Jack and I are good friends and it has been great hanging with him, getting his input and seeing how his recruitment is going.  He is a great friend and we have even talked about going to the same school someday."

Jack is a Top National recruit and holds 15 offers and is a nominee to the Army All American Game.  Still Turman knows it is tough to get a shot and is planning to make the most of every chance he gets.

"I am a pressure guy.  You put me in a pressure situation I am going to make it happen.  So working with these colleges however I can is going to be tremendous.  I will show them that side of me every chance I get," he added.

UCLA just made a stop by his school and spoke to him.  Coach Marcus Tuiasasopo liked what he saw according to Ryan.

"Coach said for me to keep doing what I'm doing and good things will come soon. He said he wants me to definiely come to their camp and tour their campus and meet their receivers coach. He also said he really liked my film and will be keeping in touch with me."

Last week the UW came by and have official started a recruitment process too according to Turman.

Ryan has followed a plan we have advocated for years now.  He is handling his own business, sending out letters and film to schools at every level, and he is following through religiously with Coaches and it is paying off.  If he does not receive offers it will only be because he was not a good match for a school.  But rest assured he is a smart kid who brings a lot to the field and he is proving that includes smarts!

The kid is organized, has a plan, and the unbridled passion needed to succeed at the next level.

He may end up at CWU or UPS or at UCLA or UW.  Buto ne thing is clear.

Ryan Turman is on his way!
