It is that time of year when we all realize that kick off is only two weeks away.  Can you believe it?  As exciting as that is many fans of High School Football begin the annual process of finding out who to watch and who to expect will lead their favorite teams.  Many have moved on and in their wake who will rise?  The Seniors we have covered and will continue to do so.  WashingtonPreps.com will begin a look now at some of the premier Juniors in the Region over the next 3 weeks with a series of stories we like to call “Junior Watch”.

Today we look at two of the best in Class.

Sefo Liufau:  2013 Bellermine Prep

6’4″, 220 Pounds : QB

If you don’t already know the name you will.  This is a very special QB and athlete.  Beyond that a better student and leader you will not find.  The main issue here is how good will be be and who will be first to offer him.

He has and absolute cannon for an arm and is terrific in the pocket with the height to see plays develop.  His decision making is developing and last year he made leaps and bounds in that area.

Having Michael Rector out there to throw to makes for a serious threat every down and the two of them make up the best 1-2 Punch in the State.

Sefo will be a top recruit and this is his year to shine.  We see 10 plus major offers coming his way and schools  can afford to recruit him and not know where to use him.  A QB first he can move to many other positions if his growth and size dictate that.

What more can be said.  Big Time Player.

Kahlil Dawson; 2013 Graham-Kapowsin

5’9″, 155 Pounds, Corner Back

Dawson is a stud.  He had a great 2010 campaign where he started both ways.  At WR he had over 385 yards and 3 TD’s and he ran for another 90 yards and 2 more Td’s.

But his work at Corner is where he shined.  The team played 7 playoffs teams and went 6-5 and he only allowed 2 TD’s and picked 3 balls.  He also had 6 Pass break ups.

Great hands, superb hips , and very fast change of direction.  He is a ball hawk and as a Junior is gathering major college interest.

Editors Note: To all of our readers we want your help.  This is YOUR CHANCE to help the kids around you that you support.  This recruiting process and process of getting exposure is not easy for these players and their families.  Therefore if you will send in names and suggestions to us at dirkknudsen@gmail.com you will be helping us help the kids.  There is never a charge and we are against “Pay to Play” recruiting services that charge kids and families a fee.  We review film and complete analysis and make 100% independent assessments.  But rest assured we work tirelessly for the kids who deserve coverage and have made a huge difference in the number and level that our kids are being recruited at.  Regardless of their level help us to help them.
