Andrew Kirkland Gains Offer From UW and Commits

He had a great camp at the UW Rising Stars Camp and followed that by a huge performance at the NW Skills Camp also at UW.  Well the Huskies saw enough to know they had to have him.  So they laid it all on the line and offered Andrew Kirkland of Jesuit a Scholarship!

Now we caught Andrew in an Exclusive Interview just after it happened and after he was the hands down best technician at the NW Skills Camp.  And were preparing to bring you the story this morning when he texted us.  As quick as the Huskies offer happened he has decided it was the one he wanted.

So this AM we are pleased to announce that Andrew Kirkland is going to be heading to the UW to play college football.

"They treated me like I was a priority and they really liked me, wanted me to play for them, and liked me as a kid," said the 6'5"-297 pound bruiser from Portland, Oregon.

This is big.  He was sitting on 6 offers and the UW trumped both in State Oregon schools who were close on him as well.  That new Husky Stadium and this new group of Coaches are really turning up the heat on the NW best kids.  Kirkland is an amazing athlete who in our view has not even scratched the surface of what he can do.  He has great flexibility, a great motor, and will no doubt be a force along the offensive line when he gets to college.

He joins team mates Max Rich (6'7", 313 Pounds- WSU Offer) and Doug Brenner (6'4"-275 Pounds -OSU and others) as Pac 12 linemen in what many believe is the best group of linemen every to be on one High School team.

Awesome stuff Andrew!  To a kid we have known since grade school who grew up in our Youth Football organization this is just a really great outcome and a lot of fun too!
