We continue to scour the NW both inland and along the beaches and mountain ranges looking for the best performers as the Northwest prep football season moves past week 3. One guy out in Pasco, Washington we have been tracking since last year may have a famous last name but he is making his own moves on the football field. The amazing Senior has had 2 games at the 200 yard rushing mark in just the past two weeks and in last nights emotional win over Richland he cracked off 193 yards and 3 TD’s in the first half alone helping the Riverhawks to a 41-0 win.
Head Coach Steve Graff and his team were dealing with a severe injury to the Coaches son, Mac Graff, who was injured severely last weekend while on a hunting trip. He is in intensive care and the Junior starting defensive back was on the minds of all of the Chiawana faithful. In fact Tri-Cities Football is like one big extended family in many ways and it was no surprise to see the Richland Bombers lining up to support Coach Graff and his family with hugs and well wishes after the game despite the drubbing on the field. That is just how they roll out in the Columbia basin and what a class thing that is indeed.
“We were playing for our brother Mac out there,” said Urlacher. “Mac would do the same for us.”
Northwest Prep Report, our staff and families, and the entire Pacific Northwest prep football community are sending prayers for Mac and the Graff family at this time that he can recover fully.
CONTRIBUTE TO MAC GRAFF’s Medical Fund safely at the GoFundMe account they have set up.
