Big Dylan Porter Rising Late

Big Dylan Porter Rising Late

It’s time to turn over rocks and search wider and farther then anyone else in an effort to get every coach and every recruit a shot.  We become more and mroe convinced every year that at least 40% of the Collegiate starters are guys who bloom late, are not recruiting dandies, and the sort of quiet guys who don’t scream their talent form the rooftop.

Dylan Porter 2

Dylan Porter of Elmira High school is one of them.  This is not the first big man we have covered from Elmira and he won’t be the last.  But right now the 6’5″ – 295 lb. Offensive Linemen needs to have a little lime light shined upon him so here we are.

Dylan is a Senior.  We just watched his film and Holy Smokes can he play.  This young man reminds me of several kids who rose up late in their High School career; Cam Keizur All Big Sky O-linemen from PSU comes to mind.

Here is a little more on Dylan-

GPA 3.47
Act 26
With AP courses

6’5 (barefoot) and 290lbs
OT
C/O 2017
Elmira High School
First team all league offensive tackle
First team all league defensive line
Ran 100 m, shot put, and discus in track.
#1 ranked heavyweight wrestler in Oregon.

Being recruited by: Notre Dame,  Rice, Yale,  Columbia, Oregon State, Portland State,  Eastern Washington,  Cal Poly, South Dakota Tech and more.

Coaches have at him.  His size and ability fit nicely into the upper divisions and he is a smart kid who loves to stack up those pancakes too!  Let’s see if we can share him out there and get him some love.
