It is the offering season and more firsts continue to happen. For 6’2.5″ – 228 lb. Linebacker Calaeb Weber from Chiawana this was a big day. He landed his first FBS offer from UTEP down Texas way! That offer followed 5 Ivy league offers and some other smaller schools.
We all have believed that this offer was coming and there will likely be more because he is just too explosive and just keeps getting better.
“This Feels awesome,” said Weber. “Hard work pays off. I have been waking up at 6 AM almost every morning since December with my trainer. Hard work does pay off!”
He had a great day at the Opening Regional and fell just shy of a 100 point SPARQ score. He has been putting in the time on the weights and has reported a 355 lb. bench press and a 515 lb. squat. Those are some big time numbers and his frame and ability tell us more and more that his D1 light is shining! Congrats to the big kid from Chiawana HS out in Pasco, Washington.
