Camas Linemen Grinds His Way To Offer #1

One of the best overall kids we saw last season for underclassmen at the line positions was Camas Papermaker Drew Clarkson. We knew from the get go his size and ability had him on a nice track. In the two games we saw him in he was solid and steady on both sides of the ball. But the O-line is what this guy was born to play.

After making the WashingtonPreps NWPR Top NW Prospects List for 2014 his film and information was sent Nationwide.  Over 3,000 people have looked at this list and most of them are coaches.  NWPR sends it out every couple of months Free of charge to the kids and no doubt some of them saw the 6’4″- 270 lb beast on there.

Now Clarkson has called to let us know his hard work has paid off as he has received his first full ride scholarship offer.

“I have a full ride offer from Northern Colorado University, ” said Clarkson.

He continued, ” I got a text from my Coach saying they offered me a full ride.  Cal has been looking at me and it seems promising but obviously I won’t get my hopes up until it happens.  They say they are coming to Camas to my school to see me by the end of the month.”

Others are looking to.  This guy could be a dream Center as he is flexible and fast for such a big kid.  PSU and Montana are circling in now and there is no doubt a lot to like about this 3.49 student.

At the end of the Championship run in 2012 he was not only a GSHL All League 1st team linemen but made the first team All State list.  Not to shabby for a Junior.  We love the kids ability and his heart; something you can not easily measure but in all the games we have seen he has been there battling it out to the end on every down.

This is a good offer.  The first one always is.  But odds are this young man Coached by the legendary Jon Eagle will have more and by seasons end will be one of several Papermakers landing offers.

Best of luck to Drew!
