Is Hanford High School Senior lineman Conner Milliken a Division 1 linemen? Maybe. If he is not it is all a matter of size. We have written time and again how the best talent pound for pound is usually not found in a prototype D1 body. Milliken is one of those stories.
At 6 feet tall and 250 pounds he is big. Big enough to be an All American at the D3, NAIA, or D2 level. But it would be rare to find a 6 footer playing as D1 impact linemen. Watch this film and tell me he could not be the exception. The kid is so technically sound that he is overpowering linemen much bigger than he. As a Center he is fantastic.
For me, I cover talent regardless of level. This young man put out such a great film I had to push it out there. Every single play he is striking blows as good as any I have seen from a High School athlete. Coaches from across the NW will want this young gun playing for them and he will certainly find himself a home. Perhaps Southern Oregon will make another National Championship run with this young man in tow, or Linfield, or CWU, or PLU, or EWU. The possibilities are endless.
He can play – oh he most certainly can play! Tough kids out there at Hanford and he is one of them.
Best of luck Conner as you move ahead!
