Talk about it in Oregon High School Football
In fact tonight Viking fans may feel like they are nearing Valhalla itself. At least they should when they hear the news that the Vikings have landed the biggest recruit in the State of Oregon.
At 6’7.5″ and 270 Pounds Dalton Milburn is just that. He is not only big he is really talented. A player that many felt belonged at Oregon or OSU.
But for the Marshfield High School Senior this is it. The Vikings are going to be his home.
“I committed to them tonight. This is where I want to be and play collegiate ball,” said Milburn without hesitation.
In the end it was down to Idaho and PSU. And even though the Vandals are a full D-1 BCS a level above the Viks he shrugged that off.
“To stay in Oregon and play here seemed like the right thing to do. The Vikings staff are amazing, they have done a great job of recruiting me, and the facility and school are excellent,” he added.
He also knows that the Vikings amazing recruiting year is going to send a wave of talent into the program that will rival any they have had in the past.
“I play along way from most of those guys. But the caliber of talent they are attracting is excellent. And I just want to be a part of it,” he said.
Milburn is destined to be an Offensive Linemen. But he says he will do whatever is needed to help the Viks. This is exactly the kind of guy that will be a blue chip building block of the program.
Right now he will be watching as his team has a bye and awaits the outcome of the Woodburn VS Dallas game. Dallas has to loose for Marshfield to make it to the playoffs.
This is a great fit for the big man and for the Vikings and one has to wonder who else Coach Burton and the fast rising Vikings can land before this is over with.
