What happens when you have a 6’2″, 180 pound athlete who can run and jump and excels at more then one sport? Often times colleges get a mixed message about where he/she will fit in best. Add in an injury that causes a loss of a season and you have a potential sleeper. That is what we see in AC Davis High School stud David Trimble Jr.
Fresh off a stellar basketball season Trimble is a known entity on the Hardwood. He averaged over 15 points, almost 7 boards, 7 assists, and 3 steals.
His Pirates went to the Dome again this year in the Elite 8 where he shined earning 2nd team All State. His season highlight was probably his game against Jackson where we scored 24 points, had 12 boards, and 10 assists. A triple-double that knocked the Wolves out of a return to the Championship game.
He is being recruited for basketball right now and offers appear to be eminent for the Junior from Yakima.
But what if that same athlete was actually a higher prospect as a football player? Could it be that he is really better suited for the grid iron?
