Sunday at Parkrose High School was a busy and productive day for athletes from all over the Northwest who showed up and turned up their game at the Air One Football Academy. Post “Snowpocalypse” and Super Bowl Weekends it was clear that the boys and the Coaches in attendance were ready to get after it. The camp is held every Sunday and there are two sessions each Sunday for QB’s, WR’s, RB’s, Corners and Safeties and now Linemen. Camp are at 11:30 AM and 2 PM. & some kids attend one and some both. Look below for some of the best action shots. I want to comment on this. The energy at this Camp, especially this past weekend, was contagious. The younger guys are working out with many of the Top Quarterbacks from Washington and Oregon and those kids are showing what they have big time. That spilled over into the Receivers and the Corners and Safeties who started to bring it more and more and by the time we got over to the linemen it was on. This all stems from superb leadership of a true 1st Team All American Quarterback; Coach John Charles. From there you can go position by position and look into the face of NFL and big time College talent and Coaches. As a parent at the camp you may not know the names but the kids get it. They are being driven and are fired up!
So rather then bore you with words we shot a little Video at the camp and this time we shot some of the Coaches at work. You football junkies watch this. Your going to see and hear teaching going on that is of the highest Caliber.
“We want everyone that wants to learn at Camp. If your a first time player Get Here! If your the #1 guy in the Region- Get Here! No one that walks through these doors is going to leave disappointed and this is our biggest and best year yet,” said Charles who was energized as he finished two Saturday Sessions before spending Sunday in the rain with a small private group of the areas Premier talent.
John Charles is so well thought of that he has been invited back as a Coach for the Elite 11, the Nations most prestigious QB Camp, and for The Opening and other National events. That training and access to guys like Matt James and Trent Dilfer have Charles on a fast rise as not only a premier Regional trainer but a man of National Prominence. As a Coach and parent of 3 players we chased camps all over the Region. In my view this is something we would have loved to have been a part of had Coach been working in the field at that time.
