OK here we go!  Man it was a big week one and we are on to week two already.  This is an early edition and we want more fan submissions this week!  These lists are generating thousands of page views and of course some of those are the many College Coaches and programs who follow our prospect watch lists.   Who was your hero this week?  Which player or players had the best efforts?  Was there a team that stood out to you?  Or maybe even a Coach who overcame a huge deficit to bring his boys back?  It's Time for Friday Night's Best Week 2!

Friday Night's Best Week 2

OREGON

  • Thomas Tyner:  Aloha High- Second week in a row he has done the amazing.  384 yards, 3 TD's, over 20 yards per carry and 602 yards and 7 TD's in two games.  Yes he is that good!
  • Taylor Alie; Sheldon- QB:  228 yards passing and 2 TD's and 1 running TD to lead #2 Sheldon (Or) over #3 Central Catholic.
  • Aidan Wilder: Central Catholic QB:  90 Yards Rushing, 169 yards passing in a loosing effort against Sheldon.
  • ALOHA WARRIORS O-LINE:  A.J. McCollum, Michael Paul Kluge and Calvin Liggins, Brayden Kearsley and Ryan Papenfuhs, and tight ends Sam Klingborn and Jason Richie.  The second half effort they made was the game changer.
  • Tigard High School Tigers:  The Tigers are for real and missed a short field goal to drop the game against Aloha 36-34 as time ran out.  Still the Coaching was superb, the defensive scheme to stop Thomas Tyner and crew excellent, and their offense led by Junior Jett Even at QB, and Zach Floyd, Kaz Greene, and Benny Wick racked up 540 yards of offense.  Floyd was a beast both sides of the ball.  This is a team that plays better as a team then almost anyone and that is the stuff of State Championships!
  • Jamartae Brown-Jefferson:  The WR went for 164 yards on 7 catchesand a TD on a night where the Demorcrats struggled against Grant.
  • Grant Generals:  Outstanding team effort top to bottom in the 58-12 win over Jefferson.  Rising Sophs QB Sam Davis and Dominique Penn stood out as did the Grant Defense who scored on several take aways.  Cordell Harris had 3 scores; 2 Punt returns and 1 interception to showcase his many wins.
  • Kevin VanWinkle-Glencoe QB:  Kevin threw for 130 yards and 3 TD's and was in control fo his Tide offense in the 36-6 win.  Receiver Jake Weddle had 6 catches for 105 yards and 2 TD's for the Tide as well.
  • Connor Strahm-Sheldon:  Top all around athlete on the field most nights.  He does it all.   60 yards receiving, 40 yards Rushing, 54 yards passing = Awesome!
  • Sherwood Bowmen- Team:  Lead by Cristian Morris again with 147 yards and 2 TD's the Bowmen planted 400 yards on State Power Marist and won 38-20.
  • Jake LsCoste-West Albany:  330 yards rushing and 3 Td's.
  • AJ GLASS– Jesuit RB:  Second week in a row with over 5 TD's and 300 yards.  Glass is running behind the all world Jesuit O-line that helped the Crusaders get to win # 400 all time.  
  • Gresham's Micah Tolai Caught for 188 yards and 2 TD's as the Gophers beat Lincoln.
  • QB Tim Patrick : David Douglas: The Scott threw for 3 TD's and ran for one in the 38-20 win over South Salem.
  • Sam Riddle-QB:  Century HS:  People who did not know about this guy do now.  He is VERY GOOD!  6 TD's – 394 yards and 26-34 passing.  That is amazing especially in the 50-45 Road win over State Champs Mountain View!
  • Wildcats of Wilsonville:  These boys are special.  Johnny Ragin scored at will and Tanner Shipley had a 200 plus yard night doing it all.  They are a serious contender to bring home the crown; 64-21 win over St. Helens.
  • Forrest Broddie: 134 yards and 3 TD's on the Ground for the win over 6A Forest Grove.
  • Willy Pflug-Sunset:  Sharing duties at the QB spot for the Apollos was not a problem for Pflug as he went for 325 yards passing and a 2 Td's in the big 38-20 win over Barlow.
  • West Linn Lions:  WOW.  40 – 34 winner over Grants Pass after being Down 34-7.  A TEAM WIN!
  • Mitchell Thompson: Oregon City- 34 carries for 220 yards and 2 TD's in the win 30-14 over a tough Crater Squad.
  • Parkrose:  Henry Vy who is an amazing football player was teh difference maker in a 44-40 win over Madison in a slug fest that featured all you could want in a great football game.  Both teams played exceptional.
  • Corey Hincks and Michael Broderick : Wilson Running Backs: Combine for 4 Td's and the 27-14 win over Sandy!
  • Nick Pozzesi-Crescent Valley- 138 yards and 3 TD's in his first start for the Raiders after the loss of Gary Gomez in week one for the season.  The O-Line dominated for the win over Rex Putnam.
  • Kyle Eckrosh– Beaverton QB-  The Senior held tough and pushed his team tot he win with 231 yards, 2 TD's and a a last second game winning pass to Davasyia Hagger with 12 seconds left to beat Reynolds.
  • Evan Colorito-Beaverton LB:  The big man played inspired making countless tackles and had a critical Safety late in the Game to aide his team to the 13-9 win over Reynolds.
  • Hayden Coppedge– West Linn-QB:  4 Td's and a HUGE Performance in the comeback win!
  • Mitchell Thompson-RB-Oregon City:  220 yards rushing and two TD's in the win over Crater!
  • Spencer Payne-McMinnville:  How do you beat this guy?  He did it all.  117 yards Rushing with 3 TD's , 85 Yards receiving 1 TD,  threw One for 34 yds TD,  Interception for 35 yards and a TD,  75 Yards Kick return.  Would someone please get this kid an offer?  Amazing!
