Friday Night’s Best Washington Edition Week 1 Is Out

Friday Night’s Best is back this year and WashingtonPreps.com made the rounds with some of the State of Washington’s best Week 1 efforts.  It was a power packed night with some huge efforts so it is time once again to name some of the outstanding individuals and teams.  Come take a tour North-South-East and West as we zip around the State looking for the Best of Friday Night.

DJ May Federal Way: RB-DB DJ ran for over 100 yds and 3 TD’s as well as adding a pick for a TD in helping Federal Way win their season opener. He is a Top in state RB Prospect!
Parker Henry Skyview; RB Parker started off hot again this year leading the Storm with 133 yds and 2 TD’s in a very close loss.
EJ Deveaux Curtis; RB EJ is a name to remember as he led Curtis to a win with 228 yds and 4 Rushing TD’s
The Bethel Braves Bethel Braves The Braves went to Odessa, Texas and took on the Permian Panthers of “Friday Night Lights” fame.  They put up over 535 yards in the 96 degree heat but came up a little short going toe to toe with the Panthers who just had more fresh bodies then they did!  Amazing efforts there.
Ronde Pate Mount Tahoma;RB/WR Pate is not a well known athlete but he is a real stud.  Rondee had 150 yards and 2 TD’s in a great effort for Mount Tahoma.
Brad Wallace River Ridge 202 Yards and 3 TD’s in a tremendous effort!
Ma’Ne Manaea Lakes Lancers; WR / DB Ma’ne waited a year for this chance.  And he made the best of his night catching 3 of 4 balls that were thrown to him and scoring on all three averaging 40 yards a catch in a WOW perfromance to lead the #1 Lancers.
David Wood Lakes Lancers; QB David may end up being the story of the year as he has been brought over to be a QB from other positions.  He was 9 for 11, 192 yards passing, and 6 TD’s.  Oh yes he ran it in for a 7th!  Look out for this team now.
Trevor Lyon Puyallup; QB Lyon went off with a roar and had 5 TD passes for Puyallup in a 56-7 routing of Spanaway Lake.
Trevor Houser Olympia; QB Threw for 178 Yards and 3 TD’s and Ran for another in a 34-7 victory over Tumwater
Danny Welstad Peninsula; RB Wow what a game Danny had with 297 yards rushing and 6 TD’s as his team rolled over Gig Harbor.
Blake Ellison Auburn; QB; RB; Ath Ok now this guy takes the cake.  He had 3 TD’s.  One he caught, One he Threw, and one he ran in.  That is impressive.
Blake McPherson Arlington; QB A great night for Blake with 222 yards passing.
Colton Hordyk Arlingtin; RB This young man tore it up!  100 yds rushing for 3 TD’s.  One catch for 46 yards and a 4th TD; and 6 PAT’s for a total of 30 points he scored.  Man what an effort.
Max Browne Skyline; QB Ho Hum!  15-17 for 178 yards and 3 TD’s early and then he went to the sideline.  Ca-Ching!  Money!
Blake Williams Everett; RB Blake had 256 yards on 35 carries and was a beast for Everett.
Isaac Dotson Newport; QB The rising star went for 225 yards rushing and 4 TD’s; rushed for 3 and had a TD pass.
Chevy Walker Eastside Catholic Chevy may have been the man Friday.  He rushed for 3 TD’s, caught a TD Pass,  and broke a long kick return for a TD.  Over 300 yards of total offense… Walker is proving that he belongs right there with Special K as the best Offensive Player in the State.
Colter Quick Richland; Qb Colter went 15-22 doe 205 yds leaidng his team to a 44-10 win in the Tr-Cities.
Jalen Devine Hanford; RB Devine went for 190 yards on 27 carries to lead his team in a loosing effort.
Gaven Deyarmin Central Valey; QB 184 Yds and 1 TD in the air and 77 yds and 2 TD’s on the ground.  Nice effort by Gaven!
The O’Line Ferris O’Line Ferris had an O’Line that stepped up and showed their Championship form and were stellar all night for the Saxon’s in the win over University.
Darian Barlow Mead HS; RB He had 147 yards on 8 carries and 2 TD’s.  Great Effort!
The Whitmire’s Woodland The Whitmire boys put up big numbers.  Eli Whitmire rushed 19 times for 211 yards and three touchdowns, and Cy Whitmire had 173 yards on 20 carries for the Beavers.  Wow!
Colin Seitz Prairie; QB 27 for 39 for 313 yards in stellar game!
Justin Peterson Lakewood; QB 175 yards passing and 80 yards rushing in the big win for Lakewood.
Isaiah Flynn Bellermine Prep; RB Flynn is a real talent and went for 194 yards on 14 carries and 2 TD’s.
Tere Berre-Calloway Seattle Prep; RB 138 yards on 15 carries and 2 TD’s proved crucial to his teams success in the 36-35 thriller against Mercer Island at the Emerald City Classic.
