Great Effort Shines As Zach Borisch and Kamiakin Win

We are the only recruiting based website that has ever placed Kamiakin Senior Qb Zach Borisch on a top prospects list.  The young man frankly is not a camp nor a 7 on 7 junkie.  He was too busy in the off season travelling the world fighting for Team USA in Judo.

Quietly the 6’1″- 190 pound phenom has led his team out of Kennewick, Washington into the playoffs and now with a shocking win over Eastside Catholic (30-27) the Braves are headed to the Tacoma Dome.

The Braves are loaded with talent; from big Wyatt Musser (6’6″-280 lbs) to Senior Running Back Jethro Quested (223 yards in the win) they have the “dudes” to win it all.  On Saturday the Braves overcame all the pundits who had them loosing to win over EC who has been to the Dome 5 years in a row.  It was a total team effort no doubt and was sealed up when Isaiah Brimmer picked off the Crusader’s QB Zach Lewis late in the game.

Borisch has his talents on display as he went for 333 yards of total offense against the top defense in the State.  That included several drive extending runs and some terrific passes as he scrambled.  At games end he had rushed for 165 yards and 2 TD’s and thrown for 168 yards and two more.  He simply refused not to win and this was his day to put the pedal to the metal.

This is not only a big win but a historic win as Coach Scott Biglin’s Braves will play mighty O’Dea next week for all the marbles.

Once and a while a really special athlete comes along and get a shot to win it all.  Zach is one of many in the Pacific NW and he is getting his due; they all are.

Idaho is the only school who realized how good Borisch is and they have offered him.  Others are likely to join in and they should because this kid is only partly a football player.  Moreover he is a leader and a winner and that is what teams ultimately need to succeed.

Best of luck to the Braves going into next weeks final-  check out the game and all the Brackets for the WIAA finals right here.
