Central Catholic has had many top athletes in the years past. Some have been stars at the highest level and others have had to patiently wait for their chance.Jacob Nall is one of the later. But the Mount Hood Conference Player of the Year is finally reaping the benefits of all of his efforts.
This past week the rangy defensive end brought in two new offers to go with the offer he held from the Portland State Vikings.
His second offer was from the University of Idaho Vandals. The third came in from Air Force academy. Both offers meant a lot to the 6’4″, 220 pound hard charger.
While he is not that familiar with either school he is planning to get to know them both much better. He will attend contact camp and visit each of them in the next month.
“I do not know that much about the Vandals but like what I have heard about them,” he offered.
But what about Air Force, the degree, and the Military aspects of that amazing opportunity.
“Air Force pays you while you go there. I could come out of there with an amazing degree and be able to land a great job and salary. Academically that is great option,” he said. “I am not really concerned too much about the military aspects. My Grandpa was in WW II and my Dad was in Viet Nam. So I come from a line of Military men and service to my country would make me proud.”
Nall will hit up the Nike NFTC Camp at Oregon. He will also attend a myriad of Camps and combines and is looking to have his schedule set soon.
What about other schools who might be looking to offer him?
“Yale has been calling a lot and that feels like something that is coming. I attended the OSU Spring game and they seem pretty interested in me. Then there has been a lot of talk about the U of W looking at me so we will see,” he concluded stating that many schools want to see him in pads at their contact camps to help them decide.
No matter what happens Jacob is happy to be in this position and realizes these are great choices that he has already. More to follow on his college and recruitment as it develops.
