There is no bigger recruit in the NW then Kaleb McGary and as of right now the 6’8.5″ OT is pledging himself to the University of Washington. The Huskies will get the pledge of the 4 Star linemen from Fife High in Tacoma, Washington; a kid that as many as 20 Major schools had offered.

Kaleb McGary has as of right now verbally pledges himself to the UW making this the first of two major recruits they might land including Budda Baker.
“I called Coach Petersen and let him know a few minutes ago. He was really happy and said he is really looking forward to me being a part of the UW family,” said Kaleb. ” I am very happy as it was a tough call. But this is the best fit for me all things considered for my future.”
McGary plays Defensive End and Tight End but any football insider sees the potential for a big time left tackle and future NFL prospect. The young man struggled to make a decision between Wisconsin, Washington State, Oregon State, and the UW.
In the end Kaleb says it was going to be WSU or the UW and that had Wisconsin been 2 States closer the Badgers would have won out.
“Wisconsin is amazing in all aspects but 1,800 miles is too far away. The UW will be a perfect fit and I am all in ready to go to work. It’s going to be fun!”
If Budda Baker follows him in the next couple days the UW recruiting class is going to be Hot! McGary is a Washington native and he is so big, so agile, and so powerful it is all but uncanny. The Coaching and development at the UW should have him playing at a top tier level very soon.
“I will do Wildlife Conservation and General Business most likely at the UW. But time will tell.”
Great result for Kaleb and the UW! Stay tuned for more!
