The Kamiakin Braves out of the Mid Columbia Conference received great news for this pigskin campaign when learning of the addition of power house Pasco running back/strong safety
TJ Faamausili transferring into Braveville. TJ had a decent season last fall for the win less Bulldogs, rumbling for 256 yards on 81 carries and scoring 1 touchdown. This year he has just flat
out busted loose for Kamiakin.
In the opener against Ferndale, TJ spliced and diced his way for 61 yards on just 6 carries and scored a touchdown in the Braves 34-14 win. Week 3 saw the 5’10” 190 pound senior break loose in
a 47-3 win over Southridge. He zipped his way for 139 yards and 3 scores on 19 packs out of the backfield. The Fab Faamausili followed that up with a gigantic game vs. arch rival Kennewick. The young lightning rod destroyed the Lions defense for 178 yards and 3 more touchdowns in a 29-8 victory.
The pesky Braves suffered their second set back in a week 5 loss to power house Chiawana 14-31. Faamausili finished up the night with 36 yards on 13 carries. In last weeks 56-21 route of TJ’s
old crew from Pasco, the nimble burner touched the rock 16 times for 188 yards and 4 scores. He scored on TD runs of 80, 22, 3 and 1 yard out.
The nifty work horse is currently 2nd in MCC in rushing with 607 yards, averaging a tidy 7.8 yards per carry. Faamausili is currently 3rd in the conference in all-purposes yardage with 749 yards total. The swift thoroughbred is 2nd in the league in scoring, blasting his way for 12 touchdowns through 6 ball games, kid is doing work this season for Kamiakin…..keep your eyes on him!
