2018 Prospects
Keishon Dawkins A Bonus Recruit
Keishon Dawkins is a Bonus Recruit. What I mean by that is that he brings an added bonus to any team recruiting him. He is big enough to play several positions and still fast enough to compete at TE with the football in his hands. What happens the next 36 months will be a matter of nature and need.
He is a terrific tight end and at 6’6″ and 240 lbs he is formidable. But he is young. He will grow and expand at least 30 pounds in two years. Imagine a 6’6″ 270 lb speed rush defensive end. That could be him. Add an inch and 45 pounds and he is a prototypical offensive tackle. There are 3 places a team can put him and no reason to not to assume he could or would do all 3 as the occasions arise.
Nevada has offered Dawkins, we think there will be more. Probably several more. At this juncture, I am willing to say a Pac 12 will offer soon. The first to pull the trigger may be OSU or Colorado. Maybe Utah. WSU is a good bet too. No matter what happens he is a terrific talent and one of the several athletes who will lead the Lions back into the 2017 season as a #1 Favorite!
